Hey everyone, I'm currently looking for accent samples from all over the world for my dialect coaching project and was wondering if any of you might be able to help me out with this. If you're interested in lending your voice to the project, all I'd like you to do is read a short page in English and then spend a few minutes telling me a bit about yourselves. I'm an actor with a great deal of interest in foreign accents and regional dialects and work with a bunch of well known dialect coaches who teach a variety of speech styles to actors for stage and screen productions. Your help would be greatly appreciated

Audio Requests is where you are looking for a specific title.
This is not one of those.
Moved, and duplicates removed.

No problem. In any case, thanks for letting me know, Moe. I wasn't quite sure where exactly to post it to be totally honest. Still kinda new to this forum, you know...

So far got a few volunteers from Boston, Virginia, and Australia. Anyone else willing to lend their voice to the project?
All the recordings will be kept 100% anonymous, by the way.

I mean, I'll volunteer to help you with your project. Anonymity doesn't concern me at all btw
How is the format? Do I send you a .mp3 of my voice or do we skype?
Steam chat, ICQ... do tell.

You can also find hundreds of examples of ordinary people's accents who took part in the tumblr accent challenge, here:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_q...+challenge
To hear a specific accent, type 'tumblr accent challenge' on youtube followed by the accent you want a sample of.
Whatever you do, don't enter just 'accent challenge' because you'll get a list of vids featuring annoying attention whores trying to mimic other peoples accents.

Thanks a lot, Joker - I just PM'd you!
Spud17 and Stormium, thanks for all of your suggestions, but unfortunately I can't use copyright materials or any voice samples without an expressed release/permission from the recorded subject. As inconvenient as it might sound, I have to reach out to the natives of the target accents and get my own recordings.

Well aware of that, and I personally have nothing against piracy. I'm just saying...
Most of my work is unpaid at this point, so I don't charge for those services unless I work one on one with a client. It's for educational and research purposes for the most part.
