Hello, All
I have Windows 8 Pro, which I have downloaded from pirate bay & the key I have used is a volume license.
It has recently came into my attention that Windows 8.1 update is available through windows store.
However, I cannot see update in the Windows store:
My PC is up to date with latest updates including required KB 2871389
I have also refreshed the content of the windows store with wsreset.exe
I'd like to know how I could possibly update my Windows 8 to Windows 8.1
thanks

I had the same problem, and I got a bought copy!
Following the guides they have set up, you will have to download the Enterprise evaluation copy, but since I wanted a specific language I couldn't.
You'll will need to download an 8.1 ISO and hope you can install it without having to reformat.

Download the full Enterprise 8.1 DVD and do an in place upgrade, its a bit confusing when you run the DVD as it does not actually say 'do an upgrade' it asks you to keep all your programs but that does keep all your files and programs and settings but not any activation.

After i do this, i just use the same activator to activate windows 8.1 (for example kmspico) and all my programs/files will remain?

Yes, as Kingfish said before, only the activation will have to be done again after the update, all your files stay in place.

Thanks to Kingfish and all other contributor whom have provided valuable information, may I ask where can I get full enterprise 8.1 DVD download from
I have found the following link from Microsoft where I can download Enterprise version but is only evaluation only.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalc...wc-tn-wctc
I have also found upgrade to windows 8.1 setup file from Microsoft, which require me to enter product key before starting the upgrade but do not have any product key in hands to insert.
I have used Office 2010 Activation tool kit 2.2.3, however I wanted to know whether I can use same tool kit to activate my Windows 8.1

As Kingfish has outlined. Do an in place upgrade and reactivate afterwards:

I believe it's because I have a non-english version of Windows 8, but using the evaluation ISO, I was asked to install a clean copy of Windows 8.1 :/ Good thing I could use a guide to download Windows 8.1 in my language by using the original download app for Windows 8.
