This is a quick, noob friendly tutorial on how to build your very own Windows 7, 32bit and 64bit, SP1 (Service Pack One), branded and activated AIO (All In One Disk).
I've kept it as simple as possible but it can be modified with other tools, methods etc for custom disk creations but that's a whole other tutorial
What you'll need to download:
1. Windows_7_SP1_x86.iso
DOWNLOAD
2. Windows_7_SP1_x64.iso
DOWNLOAD
3. WinAIO Maker Professional
DOWNLOAD
4. PowerISO

Windows Updates Downloader
Quote:The Windows Updates Downloader was actually created through my long lasting addiction to the MSFN forums. Anyone who knows anything about MSFN knows that it's famous for being the number one source of information and help on the Internet for unattended Windows installations and Windows customizations. One of the great things about creating unattended Windows installations is that you can integrate all of the latest updates into the installation and avoid spending hours waiting for the updates to download and install themselves after a fresh installation. As time goes on since the last service pack was released, the list of Windows updates tends to grow to be quite lengthy.
Creating an unattended Windows installation solved the installation portion of the problem but all of the updates needed to be manually downloaded before they could be integrated into the installation source. With the quantity of updates quickly approaching triple digits, it was clear something was needed to speed things up. This is where WUD comes along.
WUD allows you to download all of the current Windows Updates using a simple interface. All of the updates are contained in Update Lists (ULs) which allows you to choose which updates you want for which version of Windows. Once WUD has complete it's downloads, you simply integrate them into your Windows source using one of the many popular tools such as nLite.
As time goes on the Windows Updates Downloader continues to evolve. ULs are available for software other then Windows and automatic installation of updates is available on supported versions of Windows. WUD aims to help power users, tweakers and system administrators speed up their unattended installs, network deployments and automatic updates.

RT7Lite
Quote:RT Seven Lite is a customization tool designed to edit the installation package of the Windows 7 operating system. It allows you to add and remove components and features in order to create the installation package suitable for your computer.
Most computer users do not take advantage of the customization features available for adapting the Windows 7 installation to their computer and simply install the default package. This results in additional time required for configuring the operating system and installing additional components.
Although this might not take too much time, things change dramatically when the OS needs to be installed on multiple computers. On the other hand, when the computers belong to the same company or institution a standard configuration is required on all workstations.
This tool is able to remove the unwanted components but also to add language packs, drivers and other applications that are required by the end user. You can also include OS updates and security fixes in order to ensure that the user is protected against known threats.
Another feature that can save time and improve your productivity is the possibility to create an unattended installation. It can integrate the product key, the timezone settings and include all the parameters for a smooth installation which does not require your presence or interaction.
The customization options allow you to adjust the wallpaper, logon screen, gadgets and documents according to the user requirements. Registry tweaks are also available for hiding certain context menu items or changing the Explorer view.
After configuring the installation package, the application can create the bootable ISO image that needs to be used for deploying the OS. It also includes the option to create a bootable USB drive or to split the image for other storage solutions.
Overall, RT Seven Lite allows you to change the behavior and the interface of any new installation of the Windows 7 operating system. If you are frequently installing the OS this app can save you a lot of time.

VLite
Quote:vLite is a tool for customizing the Windows Vista installation before actually installing it.
Main features are:
hotfix, language pack and driver integration
component removal
unattended setup
tweaks
split/merge Vista installation CDs
create ISO and burn bootable CD/DVD
Windows Vista from Microsoft takes a lot of resources, we all know that. vLite provides you with an easy removal of the unwanted components in order to make Vista run faster and to your liking.
This tool doesn't use any kind of hacking, all files and registry entries are protected as they would be if you install the unedited version only with the changes you select.
It configures the installation directly before the installation, meaning you'll have to remake the ISO and reinstall it. This method is much cleaner, not to mention easier and more logical than doing it after installation on every reinstall.

The Windows AIK is ideal for highly customized environments. The tools in the AIK enable you to configure many deployment options, and they provide a high degree of flexibility. The corporate deployment environment varies from one company to another. Depending on your business needs and resources, you may choose to use all or parts of the resources available in the AIK.

RyanVM
Quote:RVM Integrator is not just an integrator. Its main purpose is to actually slipstream hotfixes and third party utilities into your Windows install disks. Integrating is simply a way to attach setup files into your windows disk and have them install at a specific moment during Windows setup. Slipstreaming will actually overwrite older files and place itself directly into the windows installation.

Windows Loader
Quote:This is the loader application that's used by millions of people worldwide, well known for passing Microsoft's WAT (Windows Activation Technologies) and is arguably the safest Windows activation exploit ever created. The application itself injects a SLIC (System Licensed Internal Code) into your system before Windows boots; this is what fools Windows into thinking it's genuine.
The things you might want to know
It works on 32-bit and 64-bit systems
It's compatible with Windows 7 SP1 and all system updates
It's compatible with all system languages
It can be used to pre-activate Windows
It allows you to install custom OEM information
It features application integrity checking
It supports hidden partitions and some complex setups
It can work alongside Linux's GRUB or any other boot manager

It works with most hard drive encryption software e.g. TrueCrypt or BitLocker
It allows you to add your own certificates and serials externally
It will install just the certificate and serial for users with an existing SLIC
It features automated system profiling (The application matches everything up for you)
It won't modify any system files
It runs before Windows is launched
No extra processes are run so you have nothing eating at your RAM
All key parts of the loader are encrypted with a custom encryption

Special thanks to murphy78 @ MDL for the brilliant tutorial below.
Firstly, so you can follow what i do:
A) Place your two Windows 7 .iso's on your desktop.
B) Now create 3 new folders on your desktop named x32, x64 and AIO.
C) Now extract WinAIO Maker Professional and place the extracted folder alongside the three mentioned above.
D) Now download the custom $OEM$ folder and place that on your desktop.
E) Finally install PowerISO, apply the patch and re-boot your PC (You must re-boot to enable full functionality of PowerISO).
Alrighty, now lets get started. The layout of everything mentioned above should look like the image below:
F) Double click on the x32bit Windows 7 .iso and it will open in PowerISO:
G) Double click on the sources folder, scroll down until you see the file ei.cfg and either delete or re-name it (Personally i delete it):
H) Click on the Save icon and confirm you want to overwrite the original:
I) Repeat steps F - H above for the x64bit Windows 7 .iso.
J) Once step I has been completed, return to the x32bit Windows 7 .iso, double click on it again to open it in PowerISO and extract its contents (All Files) to the x32 Folder:
K) Do the exact same for the x64bit Windows 7 .iso as in step J above.
L) Now run WinAIO Maker Professional v1.3. Click on the Select WIMs TAB, navigate to your x32 folder on your desktop. Double click the sources folder, select install.wim and click on open (Screen below shows how it should load into WinAIO Maker Professional v1.3) :
M) Now follow the exact same procedure for the x64 folder (Screen below shows how it should look when both are loaded into WinAIO Maker Professional v1.3):
N) Now click on the Save all into ISO TAB, Give the .iso a label (e.g. AIO). Now click on the Destination Icon. Navigate to the AIO folder we created on our desktop. Double click on it and name our .iso (e.g. Win7_AIO_SP1_Branded_Activated) and click on Save.
O) Now click on the Make ISO TAB and allow the process to complete. Once completed close WinAIO Maker Professional v1.3.
P) Now return to the AIO folder and double click on the newly created .iso to open it again in PowerISO.
Q) Double click on the sources folder. Now drag and drop the $oem$ folder into the sources folder:
R) Click on the Save Icon and then click on the Yes TAB.
JOB DONE!!!

Sometimes RX. Depends on if i just want a no bells and whistles AIO disk. Other times i'll use RyanVM, RT7lite, WUD etc to customise a disk specifically for some reason.
I posted this Tut as there used to be a similar one on the old forum but since the upgrade a few months ago i couldn't find it so i decided to throw this one together to help members out who may not know how to do it.

Hi and thanks,
As I'm a noob I have found this excellently written.
Now here comes the rub.
I am looking to wipe my laptop and reinstall 7.
I have the ISOs and all other software.
How can I add drivers for my specific machine? Is it just a case of sticking them in the Windows Driver folder or wherever?
Many thanks in advance

Hi ggildas. If it was me in your position, i'd install windows as normal. Then find and install the correct drivers for you rig. Install them and make sure everything is hunky-dory.
Once your happy that you have all the correct drivers, use Double-Driver to back-up all your drivers.
Then use Acronis to image your rig.
It's over-kill due to imaging also but imo, well worth it.
Adding drivers to your install disk is fraught with stress unless your very sure and compitent in what your doing
