USB Encryption
#1
Hi,

i'm looking for advice/direction on securely encrypting my personal USB.
Ideally i'd like it two be two fold (Similar to TrueCrypt) where i've to enter a password and provide a key file.

It also must be able to "run" on machines where i may not have Admin or any type of elevated privileges.

And in an ideal world. The USB would "lock" after 3 failed access attempts and require a completely different password and key file to unlock it Big Grin

Thanks in advance,

Not sure, but form what I've seen, everything involving USB encryption requires Administrator Privileges, but I might be wrong.

Anyway, http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeotfe.mirror/

I'm a total noob regarding encryption, so this might eb a shot in the dark Tongue

Try Bit Locker to go.
If you have 7 Ultimate, you have Bit Locker.
