my old motherboard has onboard soundcard that already dying. the term of dying in here that means device detected in device manager, has correct driver installed, but i can't hear sound from my speaker (and i already try with other speaker).

i planned to find alternative method to workarround this problem. usb soundcard is cheapher than pci soundcard and more easy to attach to computer. but i open to suggestions from other people in this forum. or maybe any other devices wich better than both device i mentioned above?

PCI should have better latency than USB, if that's something you care about. PCI also has lesser points of faliure, as USB ports are notorious for "just not working", even in 2022
