I really don't understand why the upgrade even has to touch the other partitions. Take that same drive that works fine on Windows 7, plug it into a Windows 10 PC, and it works fine. Smh.
Hints on external 4-6-8 TB USB drives?

In my case, having a somewhat cramped system drive and multiple external drives connected, Windows Update decided to spread temporary folders around and didn't delete them afterwards. Not a stupid idea since a system drive needs extra space during the update process. But now I've a few weird "q9789823896192" folders with CAB files on two of my drives. Those should be in the Software Distribution/Downloads folder in the system drive. Anyway, I can always delete all the update files, foreign language packs and fonts, and other MS nonsense. |
