"Clinton establishment’s mix of socially inclusive rhetoric and neoliberal economics is a weak response to xenophobic populism."
"we need something to fight for, not just something to fight against."
If Trump is so bad, so laughable, how much worse must be the loser? How devoid of any content its discourse?
Maybe they should stop making bad jokes about Putin and elaborate a message with some coherence.
The problem is neoliberalism, Sanders is spot on there. But he's just too condescending about why people don't fight against it. He says people don't know better, because they are suffering, in pain. Like if their IQ drops suddenly.
Maybe they don't fight it because they don't want to.
Neoliberalism basically generates inequalities. But Sunders should see that many people don't care as long as the ones suffering those inequalities are not them.
Maybe liberals are not against neoliberalism (in fact they are pro-Clinton), not because they don't know better (poor innocent creatures), but because they don't give a flying fuck about inequalities they don't suffer. Liberal hypocrisy is off the charts.
Maybe poor wasp of the rust belt only cares now because the tides of neoliberalism reach them now, and they chose the white supremacist option because ... well ... they are white supremacists?
Thinking that when people chose an amoral option (in his opinion of course) is because of they are "in pain", but in other circumstances they would chose the socialist way is just wishful thinking that doesn't help to solve the real problems.
