Do you still buy music CDs?
Of course. That $11 I spent on a album means there fat lawyers can still get there exercise going to do there bull shit.

Plus that $1 the artist gets makes me feel good Big Grin

I guess my dilemma is that when I walk into a shop these days, everything is in unorganised piles of "bargain bins." They're cheap, I give them that, but it's full of stuff I don't want.

Now, if they organised it, and have artists I listen to, like Tchaikovsky, Bob Marley, or U2, (I vary my taste in music), I might just spend a few dollars.

Until then, I'll go to the library and rip those CDs.

I bought something the other day, can't say I'm disappointed at all.  Was listening earlier on sounded great, much better than Mp3...

Buying from artists with good ethics, may buy some techno albums and such just for eac in flac format

I often buy music cd of artists I like. As this is the best way to support them. Most of my fav. artists I came across is actually via pirating. These days I also have itunes sub. But you know the deal, they are toddler before cdrips.

I don't download music anymore now, I just buy the CD instead and buy the retail.  The reason why is because most of these downloads these days are all WEB rips and they are no good.  They contain ripping errors and people make a mess of them for some reason.  I don't like WEB rips so I just buy the actual CD instead and then I can rip it myself.  I can do a proper job because I'm old school and I know what I'm doing and I use the best program and I take the music directly from a CD at the highest standard and then I can encode it into mp3 or Flac or whatever I choose.

If I like something then most likely these days I just buy the thing and order it.  I don't even bother with rutracker.org anymore because a while ago there used to be good rips but all this WEB sourcing sucks and the sound quality is bad and they are not done properly when you listen to them.

I torrent/download everything.

I then decide if it is worth buying, and I only buy vinyl.
Some things are only possible to get by downloading.
Like Uz Jsme Doma (Už jsme doma had to search russian sites for the zip of them) or Ruins (some can be found under ruins band on youtube).
Mostly I like to preview someone's album because I hate to buy a cd with 1 or 2 good songs and 9 crappy ones.
I have two turntables and a mixer so I buy the vinyl (if it is worth it) and do mixes of different band's songs back to back like my 7" mix https://www.mixcloud.com/GrandmasterDJSo...me-others/

It seems that the only thing people buy these days, is digital downloads.

No, I don't. I'm listening to music on Spotify and haven't purchased any CDs for 10 years.
