Hey Wolfie, I thought I saw you poke your head out a couple of weeks ago.
You do what you have to do to take care of yourself, we'll be around, in several places, apparently.

Yeah, T-Herd. When the shit hit the fan at KAT, I came here, asked a few questions, and tried to look around for you guys. Found the KAT Community page, and put out some feeler there, and found Don-k over at another site and dropped him a line too. It was the only way I could think of to try and re-assemble the group. The one thing nobody ever mentioned at KAT was a contingency plan, and it wasn't looking good that KAT would be back. I just think our group is too good to die, and without a back-up, someone should do something to find whoever we could, and hope word would get around to the rest! It has, I see, although I have no idea how to get ahold of I4MR3DS4ND. Last i knew because of his own health issues, he was doing more gaming than DAZ, but he was still a friend and part of the group.
I'll catch up with everyone here and/or KAT Community, and when I'm set I can help with either the resurrection project or at least toss up some of what I have even if I don't know or can't find where it came from. One thing we should talk about eventually though is a contingency, even if it's simply through a disposable email account. Just a way of re-grouping if anything else should happen, and we need to, or happen to find, another "home".

Hey guys, good to see the dust settling and people regrouping (to some extent).
Really nice of the people here to create a space for the KAT Daz community.
Most of my torrents are still seeded and working but I have not as yet re-upped them to TPB or Demonoid.
If anyone has a request for something I uploaded before or something else let me know.
As to Wolfenspiels comments on a contingency plan, I concur. But it seems these forums are on a separate domain from the main TPB site, is that correct? So basically if TPB went down, would these forums go down as well?
As nice as it was having everything integrated on KAT, that didn't work out so well in the end. I've always thought it would be best to have a separate forum with no uploading as a hedge against take-downs.

You're correct. The forum is separate from TPB and will be here when TPB is down. From time to time, the forum suffers downtime too, but it's usually for maintenance and tends to be for very short periods. Full site integration is convenient, but the risk is too great.

It was a lonely time!!
Silly really, but you quite often don't realise what you have until, suddenly, it's gone!
The demise of KAT was like someone turning a light out. It was a, "Now what do I do moment" for me.
It was a sad time. But hey, you guys are here, so all can be well again.
Really pleased I've found you all, and hope it all comes together again.
Me, I was a Poser user for many years, but had to be dragged kicking to Daz because I found Poser was quite unstable at times.
It was a hell of a learning curve, but needs must and all that.
So here's to the future, and may be all benefit from it.

Finally made it through registration, I'll be around in a different capacity this time. My torrents will remain seeded and will increase seeding for anyone needing help. Great to catch back up again w/ friends from the KAT community. Cheers!
Oh! almost forgot some kind of intro....DazStudio user since 2.2 I also am well versed in Wings3D. I am a hobbyist collector of content(2tb+) and enjoy rendering currently in Iray.
