uTorrent - Problem with initial seeding
#1
I've uploaded hundreds of torrents and never seen this before.  I've just created a new torrent in uTorrent in preparation for upload, but instead of showing the file as seeding, it shows the file as downloading (and stuck at 96%).  I haven't created a similarly named torrent in the past.  And why would it be showing 4 peers?

Can someone offer some insight?

Do a force re-check on it. Chances are some other running process changed one or more files after the torrent was created.

The random peers are being reported by a tracker or DHT. They are only ever approximate, so you could say they lie a bit, some of them intentionally...

I've tried "Force Re-Check" several times now, and restarted uTorrent, and it makes no difference.  Dodgy

P.S.  I've also tried creating torrents pointing to other folders and they all work fine in terms of initial seeding.  So it appears it's just this one folder that is the problem...

Okay, I've worked it out.  I tried shortening the name of one of the sub-folders (by only four characters) and that did the trick.  The torrent is now seeding properly.
