trying to load win. 7 over win. 8

I currently have windows 8 (which I hate!) and would like to install windows 7 instead. The problem is, I don't have a cd drive, just a usb on my computer. I downloaded the files here

Use WinUSB Maker to transfer the operating system from the disk to a USB (Min 6GB) and make it bootable. You can download it from HERE.

If your PC/Laptop came with Win 8 pre-installed, you'll need to boot into the BIOS and disable secure boot and create an Admin password.

Then choose USB as your 1st boot option while your in the BIOS.

Re-boot with the USB plugged in and you should be fine.

poweriso is also very easy when making a bootable usb disk for installing any windows,

@ RobertX for linux distributions Grub2 is good for making a usb bootable

Yes RX. It was a bit of an ordeal the first time but yes, i've done it a few times in the past.

nell, when you try to disable Secure Boot for every computer you serviced on the job, do you check the manufacturer's web site first, or do you know how to do it at the drop of a hat?
