free VPN anyone?

Hi, my question is about VPN's.   Money being tight right now I'm trying to get whatever free apps I need , including  the VPN.  I keep trying to install 'free' VPNs but they are not really free- they always want me to sign up with a credit card for a trial which I would later cancel before the.. well you get the idea.  The only one I found so far was Express VPN  but the free trial expired.   Any ideas appreciated. thanks.

Hi! As you say, the free ones are actually demos. If real free VPNs still existed, I wouldn't trust them, that's just my opinion.
If your budget allows it, there are quality VPNs that offer the service for less than $30 for a year (eg: Winscribe)

You could try Proton VPN, I haven't tried it but from what I know it's free. Maybe you could give it a shot.

OnionFruit will route all your applications through TOR

https://dragonfruit.network/onionfruit/

Second option is Psiphon

https://psiphon.ca/

You can configure it to route all applications through it's VPN.

Windows 11 can also change the WiFi MAC randomly to help hide. Changing the port also helps evade trolls.

Removing trackers also weakens trolls. DHT and PEX work fine.

Some download services also include a free VPN, such as Premiumize.

Windscribe is a cool VPN, 10GB free if you verify ur email. It doesn't require entering card details, despite having premium options available
