are you a pirate just to save a few bucks ?? or is it your ideology

For me it is a combination of a few things. My wife and I no longer live in the States, so I don't have the same access to the shows and movies that we used to have, and to save money.

Thinking back, I feel that it has become something of a lifestyle.

I don't know if it's good or bad, but not paying for stuff when it comes to computers has become a piece of mind.

I'm sorry.

I pay as a matter of support. However, i am not able to support that much and there is no reason not for me to enjoy what richer people can.

Also, things like education is seriously messed up that it isn't available to everyone, the more people can create, the funnier the world gets.

As my first post, I decided to write about my opinion on pirating. I ticked the boxes next to "I'm poor" and "I don't like how the money is divided" and voted. I considered ticking the "culture should be free". Can't think so far is it my opinion or not.

Anyway, to the main thing. I've been my whole live pretty poor, from poor background. (It's getting better all the time tho) I wouldn't even consider buying for eg. Adobe's programs, which are so expensive even with the reduced price for students. I just love to work with them. The same company makes like every software I need for my hobby-level photo, video editing etc. So when you learn one of them, it's easier to learn the others if needed. (comparing like: You've used Photoshop alot, and want to hop in vector graphics: Illustrator is easier (at least it was for me) to learn than for eg. Inkscape) Those big companies' programs are also used internationally a lot, and knowing how to use them is always a plus.

I have bought media of course, too. But only if they're priced reasonably. At the time, I pay for Netflix and Spotify. Both, music and movies would be quite easy to pirate. I just like to pay for the ease of access and updates. For around 10 euros, really, everything. Here comes, tho, the other tickbox: Money dividing. But paying for these programs is the best I can do for rewarding artists for their work, in this economical situation of mine.

Multiplayer games have also been target for my moneys. They are great way to stop pirating, 'cause mostly the multiplayer is game's core thing nowadays: I would consider pirating a singleplayer game.

I've made a line for myself: As long as I use pirated programs for my own things, or more clearly; don't somehow make money or gain some other notable benefits with them, I am fine. Of course I would buy them if I set up some business which involves paid programs.

This text might be pretty messy, I am not a native English writer.

I have poor eyesight - detached retina 3 times in one eye, once in the other, cataracts fixed in both, second time the lens shifted in one - so I need to sit up front in a theater.

Wife is disabled 34 years now and has to sit in the back of the theater.

So it is a convenience to download or stream

So with 2 bankruptcy's, 1000s in hospital bill, and $350 a month in medication - we can afford nothin' but free
