YIFY? Why? That's bad news. I remember when EZTV went down

Like our unnamed admin told us, now the "real" uploaders will rejoice that the Yify's wont take over the top 100 anymore... well screw them

So long Yify..when I first heard about it and looked for it..I could not believe me eyes!
Covers,720p or 1080 selection,part of plot of the film..I thought"WoW!What a bold move to make site like this on these days" Now I did not need to know what I would want to watch beforehand.. Almost every day I just browsed(along with a friend)for films that we had been missed,not seen and only heard about.. With my old cable modem the filesize was small and the seeders were high(Thanks to you also..) My previous modem had only 2MB speed so the films were ready in couple of hours,when before it could day a whole day(because the low amount of seeders,rarity or the age of movie)..I had two USB sticks and the TV supported those films.. The sound was not the best from two 5W TV speakers..So in many films I had to up and down the volume to hear speech or tone it down at action parts.. Because of knocking neighbours It was big plus ,if subs worked because my TV only likes original format(and can´t read them on the separate folder)..Only few movies was not supported by my TV..But it was as easy as it can get..After getting my new router with 100MB speed..It was almost"Click and watch" It was too good to last

My opinion WILL NOT be a favorable one like that nameless mod "XE" but I don't give a shit and I have always been one to go against the grain
YIFY is dead......... GOOD! No more of these terrible, bit-starved, sub-par encodes with horrendous audio, and lack of trueHD. Their encodes where causing eye cancer all around the world. And even worse the avg masses have accepted that horrific quality as a standard. I would rather wait all day long for a large file to download, then wait a few hours for a shitty encode/viewing experience. Down with bit-starved encodes Down with terrible audio Down with YIFY Long live TPB

That's kind of true ))) I mean, the quality was not among the best. The only inconvenient is that demonii tracker might shut down soon beacause YIFY is down

Video don't have a standard format, so there's nothing to be faithful to.
Criticise some ripper because he doesn't follow some rules that don't even exist is mean-spirited. The disdain comes from yify being the main uploader, by far. For many people, yify was too mainstream. Of course, this criticism is absurd, but far from uncommon. Sometimes I think that many people here are just private trackers hipsters in disguise.

Judas, ozlem, ShAaNiG, Kingdom, mkvcage, Rarbg etc-etc-etc-etc
"the king is dead, long live the king" and by the way, i agree with connor17. for people with poor IPS and speeds, for people with kids screaming "now!now!", and for people who arent too bothered about seeing the whole filmset reflected in the bead of sweat running down the star or co-stars forehead - YIFY (and its likes, some of whom i listed above) are a godsend. the vulgar snobbery shown by some people in regards to lack of "perfection" when they are downloading a film for free?... well its truly sickening (as is all snobbery)

Edit Reason: added info
)
I also say that it is good that YIFY/YTS is dead. The secret, private side deal to hand over all info on accounts, users who visited the site (all site data) and whatever else just goes to show that all these 'people' and sites that you profess 'love' and 'loyalty' to can wind up shitting on you when their nuts are in a MPAA/RIAA vise.
You should always use an anonymizing VPN/PROXY - even when just visiting sites that, and using some common sense, are considered 'illegal' by certain agencies and Governments. YIFY, using the one-point-of-failure strategy of running his site by himself - IMO, due to greed, so that he wouldn't have to share any potential ad profits with others - put his own nuts in the vise, and hence, anyone who used the site, their nuts too. Then, he also signed over the YTS domain , which is still up as a sort-of honeypot. I never cared for YIFY's torrents other than for catching the latest releases to see them without having to wait and basing it for my legit purchases for my collection. So, that's how I feel knowing the current information floating around the rumor-mill toilet bowl. |
