Hello. I will soon buy a new PC (MYRIA STYLEV10, AMD Dual Core A4-4000 3.0GHz, 4GB, 500GB, AMD Radeon HD 7480D). What version of Windows fits best, and what architecture should it be? I am going to use it for business (Microsoft Office) and multimedia (music, HD movies) purposes only. I head many things about both versions of Windows, but I just can't decide... I would want to stick on Windows 7 32bits because I've been working with it for a loong time, but some say that Windows 8.1 is better...
I am asking for your opinion: Windows 7 or 8.1; 32 or 64bits?

Get Windows 8.1, test it, play with it
Get Windows 10, test it, play with it, Windows 10 is not as bad as many people say, took me sometime to adapt to it, but eventually I started to enjoy it, still, I went back to 7, because I don't need what Windows 10 offers.
Get a Linux based OS, test it, play with it
Use a virtual machine (VMWare, VirtualBox) to test them, then make up your decision. Hell! Why not Windows 2000? xD
As for the architecture, x64 applications, consume more RAM, now if it's worth the extra 1GB (because that's the only way you'll get the 4GB working), sometimes it is, sometimes it doesn't, still, go with x64.
And since it's for Movies/Music, why not something like Raspberry Pi? With Kodi or something in it? Would be cheaper and fit the purpose, I'm not a pro when it comes to Raspberry Pi, so I couldn't say more I guess.
nvm the last line, noticed now you mentioned Office.

If my projects wouldn't force me to use Microsoft Office, I would go more than happy to Linux Mint, as I worked on it in the past and it would excuse me with all the drivers...
I'll start with Windows 7 x86 (it is the only version I have) and then I'll try the other ones.

Note that if you want to use the 4GB of RAM you'll have to install the x64 architecture.
Oh and btw, Mint is a pretty good distro, used to work/play a lot with it and loved it.

youll get about 3.5 with 32bit but using 64bit will cost you about the same.
