Microsoft make no such Operating System so what you have is something end user created that has a load of drivers pre installed so personally I would give it a miss and only use an Operating System that the MD5 checksum matches a published Microsoft one.

I guess you guys won't be vouching for it.
What are some reputed uploaders that you guys found?
I know, Kingfish, you would say that Windows XP is not worth catching up with, but one of my other machines don't like Windows XP.
Anyone?

That version is a simpler way of installing it, no cd needed, no activation needed, comes in bundled with a few useful softwares, you can select when you want to install, every once in a while a newer updated version is released, with the most recent POS updates, plus the bunch of drivers that comes with, It's really useful.
If I'm not mistaken, there were a few things removed from it, but nothing that could affect usability.
I used it when I had WinXP, and I still recommend it for those who want to keep using XP or don't have the possibility of using a more recent Windows.
Just one thing, I dunno if a problem still persists, but there was some issues with the .Net Framework, if you installed the one that comes with that XP Black Edition, you wouldn't be able to update it through Windows Updater, the update would be always on a loop, but you can always excluded its installation after XP is installed.

EVERY Black Edition i've downloaded has installed a network driver which can (ish) be disabled but can't be removed/deleted??
If you want to use a custom XP. Customize it yourself and use the POS work-around to get security updates till 2019 (But you need to watch and test all updates before you push them out to the host XP O/S).

Thanks, nelly.
I guess using Linux Mint hasn't improved me one bit when it comes to being a "computer nerd," not that I like the term/title.

Thanks, Kingfish, insightful as ever.
Anyone know if there are any update sites for Windows XP that have offline hotfixes/security updates/etc. for me to slipstream?
