As someone who hasn't and isn't going to watch Dr. Who, my feedback on the edit is "Needs more vampire puppets."

That's the best I can tell you without watching it.

when u put this "edit" together did u notice that it pauses for up to 5 seconds at a time and the video quality to be blunt sucks? And as for pictures with narration? It's already been done with missing episode reconstructions .... thanks for the effort but no ... just no.

Hello

@ DP,

Your just a hard person to please, I mean first you didn't care for the NON-Rifftrax stuff i was sharing, then when i did rifftrax I quess not to your taste or liking (IDK), then try to offer something the same just different or different-ish and not up your ally.

So in a nutshell I would assume your hard to please or there is nothing i can offer or do that you woud care for  ..........

Just alittle FYI, part of my fun is doing things and sharing things, and if someone isn't happy with the sharing, edits, and so on then why share ??

I try to give details on items that are not "mainstream" like Fan Edits etc so you know what your getting into the intent of the edit and so on

Again thanks for the input

I've checked out a few thing you uploaded recently and I don't get the attraction to making things look bad. VHS sucks, except for non-DVD/BD releases. If it's ONLY on VHS, fine. Otherwise, what's the attraction to watching a full-frame crappy copy when an HD widescreen release is readily available? I really don't get it; is it just a nostalgia thing?

Hello Meat,

To answer your question its part Nostalgia and the other part is on VHS you get the true versions of our movies and not the changed versions that they are sneaking in on us, form ET to Star Wars to Batman (1949) to Batman (1989) ........ hell even Superman ..............

So i like to show things in the oringial format (or original format i get) when i can, take Kingdom of the spiders i could have just cut up the bluray rip (rifftrax) that was shared here and spliced in Commander USA no big deal

No i went the extra mile and synced the rifftax audio (from the movie seeing how I had no MP3 of the riffs) with the "VHS" Quality of the commander USA airig then added subtitles (which was a real bitch just saying), and to top it off set it up like it was a real VHS RELEASE of Commander USA (that was for nostalgia like the covers I offer)

Newer isn't always better , checkout the reviews on 4k Batman and 1st 4k Superman release

As for a Fan Edit , this is a horse of another color, and I'm tryng to bring back the nostalgia of the 80s with my Doctor Who Edit and if you had a chance to see the cover art I made for it you would see i was going for the who SHITTY VHS  found in the 25 cent been at a salvation army ..........

On top of that i was also doing a play on them old Golden Book Videos called Videobooks that was around in the 80s , I had a few Masters of the Unvirse, what the Videobook did if you dont know was use limited animation with still shots and narration / sound fx to tell a story .

My Doctor Who Fan Edit , i was takig the Audio Novel The Five Doctors and the TV move form 1983 The Five Doctors and Mix them together but do the reverse of what Golden Book did and have Still shots with limited live action to give a more in depth story or rather the story we never got back in 1983 .... lol

is it just me or is origial formats and nostalgia is lost on some here  ............

Thanks
Shibby

ok not to beat a dead horse but I OWNED the Batman 1989 VHS tape and have seen the DVD/Blu-Ray .... and think the quality is much better .... so what is different about the 1989 Batman VHS tape?

Hello DP,

My mistake that was Batman (1943) in the DVD and bluray release all the rasical terms and thig was taken out

As for Batman (1989) the VHS isn't better as for Quality (you win there ... lol)

for the rest  ....... here is where the 4k sucks balls

They put a blue tint to the movie

Changed the sound fx

Changed music que's

Screen sizing  and so on

Oliver Harper does a good review talking about all this and more  ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkgLzxiaUA4 )

in E.T. besides all the little CGI things he did thruout the movie , the big thing that you will see on VHS and Theateral release is that when the boys are about to "fly" the cops are holding shotguns , in all other releases they have Walkie Talkies

Star Trek TMP ....... again alot of little changes ....... but a big one is the valcan home world ......... in the VHS it's more like the TV Series just a bigger budget .... lol .... in the DVD / Bluray its changed to look more SCI-FI and the V'Ger tunnel is aother big change  .........

So when I watch the BETTER VERSIONS they never set right with me because there not the movie I grew up with and learn to "love"

Thoughts or am i just "KRAZY" ?

TOTALLY agree! I used to record tons of shit, and bought too many recorded tapes, back in the day (late 70's and the horrible 80's) but gave it up when DVD's took over the market, and replaced the crap with quality discs. Over the pass 20 years the lot of boxed up tapes were useless, sitting in my storage room and a couple of years ago I took the boxes of 600 plus tapes and threw them out because I had no nostalgia for crappy 6 hour speed copies of stuff I had on disc. I even had to wait for my city's Bulk Trash semi-annual pickup because it filled my entire curbside! Some garbage pickers poked around first, and that's possibly how shibby got a thrift store 25 cent vhs! I don't understand the "nostalgia" of making good things bad, it's actually kind of weird. Don't stop doing it, keep going with whatever gives you pleasure, but my feedback, and my pleasure is UPGRADE, and downgrading a quality product is DEGRADING.
