Stop suggesting that, that is NOT the issue me and others are having, most likely not you either, you likely just got served with another web-node or a cache expiration while doing your "solution" or whatever.
Me and others have tried several different browsers with the same result (hint: they dont share caches), i downloaded Firefox today and the very first visit to TPB the "sort by date" sorting does not work properly
For instance, here is the porn category https://thepiratebay.org/browse/500/0/3/0 and on that page the newest torrents are from 09-30 (for me), over 10 days old (good luck explaining that with a browser cache issue when i downloaded Firefox for the first time today), page 2 however lists torrents that are listed with "7 mins ago".
Then after that the sorting works intermittently on a page by page basis, page 3,4,5 may have the correct sorting (random witch pages have the right sorting and which don't), then on page 6,7,8,9 i am back on torrents from 09-30, then page 10,11 lists new torrents again and it keeps doing that forever.
Its NOT a browser cache issue, its a TPB issue, it has been going on for just a little over 1 week now.
Yes, absolutely! THANK YOU for being insistent and clear about this. This has been happening for quite a while. How frigg'n HARD can it be just to get the bloody pages to list in order of date for Goodness sake!?
Ah! I DID try simply SHIFT/F5 and it LOOKS like it worked! I usually start at GRYM's uploads by most recent. Well, like the other fellow here, Page 1 was dated 10/22 and today is 10/24. So I did the SHIFT/F5 and the page refreshed and shows the current day at about the right time it should be. That would be NICE if that's all you have to do
***EDIT
Hmmm, that only worked until about the 6th page, then it jumped from yesterday as 13:00 to 10/22... Oh well...
Amen. Thank you. I'm not delusional after all. Now if I can only defeat Wellington at Waterloo.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves...

Let's not get ahead of ourselves... One has to be a little crazy to visit The Bay. I just told Josephine that very thing.

Enough of the nested quotes.

Search is borked. It has been borked for years. It's unlikely that anything will change. If you can't find something, use google and include the site:thepiratebay.org keyword.

Well, this bug that this thread is about has not been here for years, it started a couple of days before this thread was created and lasted until yesterday or today.

I understand that.
My point was: there is no reason to expect it to be fixed any time soon. Nobody is looking into it. Nobody will be looking into it. It will come right(ish) on its own eventually, when the index process reboots and the caches are flushed but neither I nor any of the other members of staff here have any more idea of when that is likely to happen than you do.
You are welcome to hold your breath but my advice stands: your best option is to find alternative ways of searching.

Yes, I appreciate the honesty too. I was thinking this was where we could ask for our problems to be fixed.
Even though we did not receive the answer that we would have liked, at least we can move on.
