Because I'm as much of an arthouse nerd as I am a RiffTrax nerd, I wanted to make a list of all the movies that have been covered by RiffTrax that have also appeared in the Criterion Collection (I'm counting anything that they've since lost the license to, so that includes laserdisc releases). As it turns out, they've done more Criterions than you might expect. If you can think of any that I may have missed, please let me know.
The Wizard Of Oz (1939)
Casablanca (1942)
It's A Wonderful Life (1946)
Carnival Of Souls (1962)
Charade (1963)
Night Of The Living Dead (1968)
Halloween (1978)
Armageddon (1998)

Really looking forward to RiffTrax doing the Rainer Werner Fassbinder collection! (jk, I love you but don't you dare RiffTrax)

I've worked in a few video stores and it's always bummed me out that The Rock and Armageddon were Criterion releases. Can Michael Bay REALLY be that good at BJs? What gives?!
"If you like The 400 Blows, you're sure to love The Rock!"
"A fan of Bergman's Persona? Then be sure to check out Armageddon!"
SEE HOW LITTLE SENSE THAT MAKES?!
Ugh...

AGREED Meat Trademark! I was tempted to say something about Armageddon being pure idiotic drivel, and completely undeserving of a Criterion release. Imho - it's undeserving of anything but the dollar bin.

As Alan pointed out we wouldn't have had the Affleck commentary without criterion being involved.
