Would you say they talk over it to the extent that you need to have sen the movie first?
I watched a riff of [I can't remember it's name, some 90s pandemic movie?] a while back. Can't remember if it was Jaboody or RLM, but I had to stop it because I hadn't seen the movie before and couldn't make out any of the dialogue over the riff.
I always watch with the subtitles on even if I have seen the movie. The guys can go off on a tangent sometimes (Pirates of the Carribean 2 comes to mind lol) and the movie is completely ignored for a bit.

Oh, I never thought of that! Subtitles is a great idea! I'll definitely do that in future.

I find Jaboody to really be the best mix of riffing, dubbing their own voices to what's happening on screen(that's different to riffing right?), talking about the movie and going off on tangents. Can't wait to see what this weeks movie will be. Hope everyone has a great week ahead of them! I'm excited as I've got some mushrooms of the magic type.... not sure if I'm brave enough to attempt watching Dark Crystal with that shit. Lol.

The riff that won me over for Jaboody was their Hard Ticket to Hawaii. Equal to Rifftrax Samurai cop or Ghost house. Absolutely one of the funniest things ever.

I dont love every Jaboody riff, but Hard Ticket was pure gold and, as you said, on par with anything RT has done. My issue is the same as Jaboodybot's.
If Im intimately familiar with a movie, they're fun. If a movie has nothing going on but tits and ass, they're also a lot of fun. Anything with a dense plot and I nope on over to the film's original audio.
My assessment, they really need to do more movies that are pure T&A fests, which is like a Tums festival, but different!

EDIT: Actually, I partially take the above back...I think shrooms are more likely to make something horrifying than lsd. I watched SpongeBob on them once and that episode where he visits Sandy without the water helmet and he like dried up and desiccates made me freak out lol
