If your system is configured properly and OpenVPN is connected, then it can't not do it's job. You working for the ISP is irrelevant unless they have some kind of policy of firing employees who get unsubstantiated warning letters.

Something to consider. I use PIA and it works fine. I do not have uTorrent set to start up on reboot. But for those times when PIA drops, I use VPNetmon to kill the torrent application when the VPN drops.
vpnetmon.webs.com the program is free and I can attest to the fact that it shuts utorrent down instantly as soon as the VPN drops. It doesn't have the best of UIs but it works and it is free.
