Notice of Claim of Copyright Infringement
#1
I received 2 warning notices from my ISP, Comcast, the other day.
Although I am a subscriber of PIA (Private Internet Access), I got caught due to my fault. I updated uTorrent client to 3.4 the other day, which was apparently set to start on reboot of Windows.

The PIA client takes a long time to start and more so to connect to a gateway. So, uTorrent started uploading without PIA running. That is how and why I got caught.
If anyone is out to catch you, they can easily do so when I upload a file. The guys trying to catch anyone who have downloaded a copy of True Detective don't need to do anything elaborate but all they need to do is download the same file and find out who are the peers. Their IP's are clearly displayed. I have a static IP from Comcast and the snoopers can easily identify me. Undecided

Ignore them completely. I've gotten a couple of those myself over the years, though not from comcast, and do you know what happened? Nothing, that's what.

Hi, I recently received two copyright infringement notices from Comcast and was wondering what I could use to conceal my pirating habits? Any suggestions?

Thanks

*** Nvm, found my answer.

Use a VPN that doesn't keep logs

I Recommend to ignore them & mine other recommendation is that you should use a Seedbox or a VPS For seeding.IF ya want 1 for free then you can just Sign UP At AWS Smile

If you set PIA to block traffic when its not up, your problem would not have occurred. Its just an option to select and then your ok even over a reboot.

Last week I got my 5th notice from AT&T that I was guilty of copyright infringement, but this time it was DIFFERENT. They blocked my access to my favorite website (IMDB) until I took a video course and a quiz on the details of what constitutes copyright infringement and why it is illegal. Frankly, it scared the snot out of me. And now I'm pi&*$ed off now. Like Spud from an earlier post I am completely ignorant about VPN's but I intend to learn. The knowledge of the world I have gained from torrents has changed my life. It gives me the first sense of personal freedom, I've had since the 60's. The torrent community to me is about the freedom to explore the ultimate fund of knowledge, kind of a quantum version of The Whole Earth Catalog. And that's a huge compliment from me. That sense of freedom is worth fighting for.

Best thing to do would be to switch provider(s) to avoid any further issues.

You should also consider going over this list to look for any VPN's that may interest you.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding VPN's and the sort, I or someone else would be glad to help out another fellow pirate.

If it were me and I got a second warning, I'd just lay off the torrents and stick to Netflix/Prime, buying new episodes shows that I really wanted via amazon or google play.

Sounds like you work for the government in some capacity, which means you are an unwelcome voice here, in my humble opinion.
