Thank you so much for everything you do, runrunbill! I've spent countless hours watching these again because of you. I always look forward to your posts around the beginning of the month.

Something small that I noticed tho, the "Godzilla's Revenge" Fan Edit from 09-01-21 - 09-30-21 is just the movie with no Joe Bob host segments.

Thanks RunRunBill, always appreciate the time spent on these.

I know that Drive-In Theatre episodes usually have JB segments at the beginning and end of each movie, but I'm trying to figure out if anything's missing from the 08-25-1989 movies.

Four movies that night, and there are JB segments on the first (Dirty Laundry) and the last (Glitch), but not the two movies in the middle (Tiffany Jones/Julia).   Maybe that's how DIT rolled that night, or maybe Darcy didn't put segments out for those?

Yeah, it looks like they played 3 movies back-to-back and then finished with Glitch, so there are no host segments for Tiffany Jones or Julia.

There are host segments in the 08-12-89 episode for Julia.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,
RunRunBill

Hey RunRunBill, I happened to watch "01-03-98 - 01 - Strays (1991)", located in the 05-2022 MonsterVision FanEdits folder, and the host segments are squished vertically, while the movie plays in 4:3. They are both native 4:3, so perhaps a v2 is in order for that particular episode.

Keep up the great stuff!

Hi.

The issue with the edit is that the film is 1440x1080, but the host segments are 1920x1080. I did not maintain the aspect ratio of the host segments in the original edit as it added black space above and below the video as well as the sides.

Please see the files in the linked folder below.

I've included an edit maintaining the aspect ratio of the host segments as well as an edit where I cropped the host segments to 1440x1080 to match the film. I was trying to avoid cropping as I've seen other editors do this and never thought it looked very good. I thought selecting "to not maintain the aspect ratio" of the host segments squished the image a bit, but that it was a good compromise.

Please take a look and let me know what you think might be best.

Thanks.

I am having a bit of a time finding the same copy you used that showed the movie in full frame. I can only find 16:9 crop jobs, and of course, we all want to avoid picture loss.  Do you have the original movie file that you used to make the edit?

I will be looking into lossless solutions for this problem, and I would be happy to communicate with you more regarding it. Please feel free to DM me.

I added a 720p edit of The Master Gunfighter. I previously was only able to find a 420p version.
