MonsterVision aired 396 movies (including multiple airings of the same movie.) runrunbill has provided 91 MonsterVision patreon fan edits.
Drive In Theater aired 845 movies (including multiple airings of the same movie.) runrunbill has provided 139 petreon fan edits.
There are 23 films in the Sleaziest Movies series. runrunbill has provided 6 petreon fan edits.
There are 110 movies in the Crywolf collection that does not match a film covered in runrunbills MV patreon edits. There are 50 that do have title matches and 18 of those titles had multiple airings. These do not include air dates and I have not checked to see if they are the same episode or a different airing of the same movie.
* The number of runrunbill edits is counting 1 version of films with the same air date (Example: The Friday the 13th Marathon is available in multiple different edits and a few films have re-edits.)
Combined, it looks like we potentially have 201 movies from MonsterVision between the two sources.

I wonder how close this archive (combining all sources) is to getting "complete"? I know that there are multiple sites that have episode data for JB, but they can differ a little bit.
Here's one example:

Just curious how close we're getting to "all of them". If there's a site that's known to be accurate, I'd be interested in spending some time figuring that out.
I know there's differing quality on the older pre-Darcy project episodes that Crywolf gave us all, and I think there's a couple episodes found on other Suprbay threads that are VHS transfers (no other source), but something is better than nothing.
When you consider the Drive-In Theater run on The Movie Channel it was around from the 80s through mid 90's with tons of movies as well. I'd say we are a pretty good ways from "complete" still.

I did some analysis on the Crywolf stuff tonight and came out with 113 that is not within the Patreon edits.
So my MV count is 204, about 51% of MonsterVision.
I actually have 389 total Monstervision movies (including duplicates). 319 actual movies are accounted for between Patreon, Runrunbill, and Crywolf and 71 are remaining. However, if you talk movies missing Joe Bob segments, it goes up to 160 total.
The list I am using is from https://cinemassacreold.website-us-east-...tervision/
Monstervision starts 6/28/1996 and ends 7/8/2000

What would be the best program to reduce the size of the Last Drive-in videos? Most of them are 5gb-13gb in size. Don't really want them taking up a TB. I've haven't done much editing before, but I brought one into Premiere (5GB file) and right away the file is around double the size. So I want to reduce it, but bringing it into there, makes it double lol.

i use this one: https://www.anymp4.com/app-store/free-wm...converter/
it's free and does a good job of shrinking file size without much quality loss. (of course, i'm a techno-lunkhead when it comes to stuff like this so others may feel differently re: quality loss.)

Large USB drives are inexpensive these days, I keep all of my JB episodes on a 2TB model. It plugs right into my TV as well, so it's easy to play them anywhere in the house. Future you may be happy that you kept video quality intact.

You can get a 16 tb drive for the price of a nice pair of sneakers. I don't even know where you'd find a 2 TB drive in modern times. I guess the same place people buy Playstation 2s.

I will never buy another Hard Drive that isn't SSD. Every single one fails after a couple years. It is not worth it. SSD's are still expensive though, and with limited capacity. But I've made up my mind and I ain't going back.

I'm still running 8 Western Digital drives from 6 years ago with no issues. I think it depends on what you are getting honestly.

USB drives in a variety of sizes are commonly found at all of the local retailers that you would expect, as well as the usual online sources. For you, I'm guessing Walmart. The advantage of 2TB is that they don't need their own dedicated power source to work on the USB port of most TVs. Anything larger than 2TB requires more power to operate than what most TV USB ports can provide, so you'd have to find a spot for another power cord or a powered USB hub.
If your TV is mounted on a wall, the less wires involved the better. 2TB are also cheap enough where you can buy 2 and keep a backup in case of a drive failure. Inexpensive, highly portable, and large enough to contain the entire JB archive (for now at least).
I'm aware of all of the other options, like setting up a media streaming source on your local network, using higher quality drives for performance and reliability improvements, etc. All valid, I just went with the one that was most compatible with all of the TVs in our home.

i had four drives fail on me, and all four of them were Seagate. So, for the last 10 years or so, i've ONLY bought WDs. And I haven't had a single one of them fail so far. Knock on wood.
I also haven't used a TV since 2006. My walls are covered in action figures. No place to hang one
Imagine having a fancy TV set up and not having a power strip you could plug a hard drive into. You'll have to, because my imagination just can't do it. it's like trying to tell me you once went to Walmart and got trapped inside a jar of pickled pigs feet. I mean, I know those two things exist, but I just don't think it's likely to happen.

I just have redundant backups of all the stuff I care about that I keep unplugged and stored. Hopefully SSD's will come down in price and up in capacity eventually, but honestly, those can fail too. The world is an imperfect place...
