Is there a plan if this message board goes down?

I was typing in the URL to this board and made a mistake and thought the message board was down. Is there an alt place we can go to or get updates where we'll go next if Suprbay removes this Rifftrax community?

We found our way here after KAT died, so I imagine we'd find somewhere else. A few community members are also on the Snahp forums, but those are invite only so probably not the most accessible.

It's good to remember that PirateBay and SuprBay are some of the most long-lived and unkillable piracy communities ever though.

This is correct.  We moved here specifically because TPB has regular backups, and will spring up all over the web the more you take it down.  The most reliable way to put something up as a torrent is to put it on TPB.  There is also the fact that many public and private trackers will honor takedown requests sometimes, which could be 10 years from now or next week, you never know.  TPB does not honor these requests.

I presume this is also still true for suprbay, as it was taken down before as well, and a backup was restored at the current URL, which is why the name of the forum does not match anymore.

If I recall correctly, there have also been user backups of our threads in this subforum so we don't lose our mega urls.

The problem with PirateBay is that while anyone can download you can upload new torrents only if you are registered on the site and the registration page never opens so I assume registration is either never open or that you need an invite.  Maybe I'm using the wrong page but it's the one that opens up with torrent shortcuts from these threads--there is a login/register shortcut at the top--the login page opens but the registration page doesn't.   In all of the years that I have been using PirateBay I have never been able to register on their site so I could also upload torrents.  I upload torrents to some private sites but can't register on public sites like PirateBay and RARBG.  I also upload here with MEGA but creating torrents on a public site where people here could download them without an invite doesn't seem to be an option.

So, maybe there should be a plan B if this place disappears.

Someone who is on the Pirate Bay IRC chat channel said that the site went down and the Forum admin could not be reached to resolve the issue.
