This wonderful search engine should be recognized and praised within the filesharing community. You can find torrents on BTDigg that you will never find on the more popular sites.

BTDigg search provides results not only based upon titles of torrents, but also relevant keywords that appear within the torrent files. For example, if you search for the term "Linux", it will show you title results and every instance that "Linux" is found within a torrent.

Note the highlights:

[Image: 71d30a815a1de4acfb0d48042289d00523583ab3.jpg]

The search within torrents is very helpful in locating individual files (for example, an eBook within a large collection).

Another handy feature is the recommended torrents that appear when you click on a torrent. This will also help you find other torrents.

About BTDigg:

BTDigg's database is formed by DHT users. BTDigg participates in the DHT network and follows the DHT protocol specification.

The project name is an acronym of BitTorrent Digger (digger means a treasure hunter).

BTDigg is not a tracker and doesn't store any content and only collects
torrent metadata (such as file names and file sizes) and a magnet link (torrent identifier). This means BTDigg is entirely legal.

In addition to legality, BTDigg has two important properties: unicity and decentralization. Unicity means that BTDigg is the first system of its kind and there are no analogues yet. Decentralization of BTDigg provides the opportunity to search in the entire “torrent” space inside and outside of trackers (except private trackers).

The site/search engine's biggest flaw is that it's not moderated in any way, so there's a huge amount of fakes present.

eg John Wick: Chapter 4, which isn't due for theatre/cinema release until March 2023

https://btdig.com/search?q=John+Wick%3A+Chapter+4

^^ loads of fake BluRays, WEB-DL, and DVDRips.

A search for 'Mocro Maffia season 1' included this torrent in the results, which consists of one single exe file!

https://btdig.com/678471bcf2505efb193ee9...a-season-1

The Equalizer 3, due for release in September 2023:

https://btdig.com/search?order=0&q=The+Equalizer+3

^^ again, loads of BluRays etc etc

They've got all the rubbish that gets nuked off moderated torrent sites.

It's an okay-ish site if you're a very experienced pirate and know what you're looking for, and can spot a fake/malware infested file a mile off, but it's definitely no good for noobs, who should avoid it like the plague.

I think most users of the site are cognizant of the issues that you mentioned.

The lack of moderation can also be a benefit. For example, there have been legitimate torrents that were removed/censored from other sites, but they are still accessible on BTDigg. In a time of increasing censorship, I would say that the site serves a vital role.

I consider BTDigg to be one of the most important resources the filesharing community has.

In all the years that I have used the site, I have not experienced any problems.

I am very grateful for it and I enjoy using it. I highly recommend it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another great feature of BTDigg is that you can search via a magnet link or hash.

Simply place the magnet link or hash in the search box, click search and the file should appear.

This is helpful if you wish to view the torrent page for a link that you have.

Tips for Searching on BTDigg:

BTDigg is a powerful tool for searching torrents. Not being limited to any one userbase, the site offers torrents from sources all over the planet.

Usually, a normal search on BTDigg can easily bring up torrents that you are looking for, but sometimes it may be necessary to perform other types of searches.

1.) A Specific Search

A general search will bring up specific titles, but also all the keywords within the title. For example, if you do a general search for "The Lord of the Rings", there would be torrents listed with the complete title, but also many torrents with references to keywords in the title - every instance of "lord", every instance of "ring", etc.

The Lord of the Rings is a good example to use because it is a popular title which brings up many torrents in a variety of categories. It illustrates the need for a specific search.

To do a specific search, put your search terms within quotes:

"The Lord of the Rings"

This will only give you search results based upon your title.

You can narrow things down even further with additional information based upon your interests:

"The Lord of the Rings" 1080p x264

2.) A File Extension Search

On sites like The Pirate Bay it is convenient to have categories for torrents. Sometimes, users don't feel the need to use descriptive words in their torrents because they feel it would be redundant. For example, if they have already selected a category, they don't feel it is necessary to put "audiobook" or "eBook", etc. in their title description.

While this may be fine for The Pirate Bay and other sites, it makes searches on DHT sites like BTDigg more difficult because your search for those particular items may never show in the results.

"The Lord of the Rings" audiobook

If you are having difficulty locating something on BTDigg, do a search based upon the file extension.

Those are great tips, thank you. Although I didn't find what I looking for, by using the first tip alone I was able to narrow down the search results from 6000+ to just 108.

A Room With A View (1985)

In 1905, Lucy Honeychurch visits Italy with her cousin Charlotte Bartlett. In a Florence pensione with English guests, Lucy finds her neatly ordered existence thrown off balance. Her eyes are opened by the unconventional characters she meets at the Pensione Bertolini: flamboyant romantic novelist Eleanor Lavish, the Signora, curious Mr Emerson and, most of all, his son George.

George and his father offer their rooms with views to Lucy and her chaperone. Lucy and George get acquainted and share a brief romance, but Lucy returns to England.

Later, George and Lucy meet again in England, but now she's engaged to the pretentious, dull snob Cecil Vyse. Cecil has social standing and would seem to be the socially acceptable partner for Lucy. She appears to have her life all mapped out, however the presence of the free-spirited, open-hearted George has her unsettled.

Will Lucy follow her heart or live according to society's expectations of her life?

TV Series:

The Baron (1966-1967)

The Baron is a British television series made in 1965 and 1966, based on the book series by John Creasey (written under the pseudonym Anthony Morton) and produced by ITC Entertainment.

The show starred an American actor, Steve Forrest, as John Mannering, an antiques dealer and sometime undercover agent. He is assisted by Cordelia Winfield (Sue Lloyd).

In the books he is a reformed jewel thief (the first few novels describing Mannering's "career" from his deciding to steal to his going straight) whose criminal ties served him well in investigating jewel, art, or antiques-oriented mysteries. For the TV series, Mannering's persona is depicted as absolutely straight with no suggestion of past criminality.

The show was the first Incorporated Television Company (ITC)/British drama series to be filmed entirely in colour. Stingray (1964) and Thunderbirds (1965) (both in colour) preceded The Baron but these were science fiction shows featuring marionette puppets.
