Shaw Brothers Marial Arts/Kung Fu/Wuxia Megapack 1965-1986

If you’re a fan – even just a casual or occasional one – of kung fu or martial arts movies, chances are you’ve seen one from the legendary and prolific Hong Kong film company Shaw Brothers Studio. Shaw Brothers Studio was once the preeminent film production company in all of Hong Kong.

In 1925, three Shaw brothers—Runje, Runme, and Runde—founded Tianyi Film Company (also called "Unique") in Shanghai, and established a film distribution base in Singapore, where Runme and their youngest brother, Run Run Shaw, managed the precursor to the parent company, Shaw Organisation. Runme and Run Run took over the film production business of its Hong Kong-based sister company, Shaw & Sons Ltd, and in 1958 a new company, "Shaw Brothers," was set up. In the 1960s, Shaw Brothers established what was once the largest privately owned studio in the world, Movietown. Using shrewd business practices along the way, their empire would grow, peaking in the 1970’s.

Over the years, the film company produced some of the most popular and significant Chinese-language films of the period. The studio specialized in films in the “wuxia” genre, which blends martial arts action with Chinese historical drama and elements of fantasy. Although many studios have made wuxia films throughout history, Shaw Brothers’ wuxia movies revolutionized the genre with sophisticated action and death-defying stunt work. It also popularized the kung fu genre of films.

I agree, it's an amazing site.  I've used it for many years, since when it was in it's original form.

It's the main site I use to find torrents.

Just one example: This torrent I made used a high-quality Blu-ray rip of the 2007 movie Fishtales:

That movie is extremely difficult to find in HD, and I hadn't even known if a Blu-ray version of it had been released.

That movie is actually very well done from a technical standpoint.  It just has terrible storytelling and acting.  It basically is an excuse for a child modeling film.

Arturo Toscanini - The Complete RCA Collection (Box Set)

Arturo Toscanini (March 25, 1867 – January 16, 1957) was considered by many critics, fellow musicians, and much of the classical listening audience to have been the greatest conductor of his era. He was renowned for his brilliant intensity, his restless perfectionism, his phenomenal ear for orchestral detail and sonority, and his photographic memory which gave him extraordinary command over a vast repertoire of orchestral and operatic works.

The Toscanini Collection is a reissue of RCA’s 1992 compendium that encompassed all of the recordings Toscanini made with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, and NBC Symphony. A new addition to this amazing collection is his approved recordings with the BBC Symphony from the 1930s that were not included in the 1992 edition.

From the Maestro’s acoustic recordings of 1920-21 with La Scala orchestra, to his 1954 retirement, The Toscanini Collection spans all the years in which Toscanini’s career veered away from the opera house as it moved exclusively to the concert hall. As with his NBC broadcasts and recordings, the BBC and Philadelphia accounts disprove the specious notion that Arturo Toscanini was always the same from one performance of a given work to the next.

The BBC recordings have special value for occurring in Queen’s Hall, acoustically London’s finest concert venue. Particularly interesting are three NBC performances of Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, two from broadcasts (October 28, 1939 and December 6, 1953), and the third from a 1949 Carnegie Hall recording session. With each performance being somewhat different from the other, they serve as a reminder of how Toscanini was invariably rethinking his approach to a particular work.

This wonderful search engine should be recognized and praised within the filesharing community. You can find torrents on BTDigg that you will never find on the more popular sites.

BTDigg search provides results not only based upon titles of torrents, but also relevant keywords that appear within the torrent files. For example, if you search for the term "Linux", it will show you title results and every instance that "Linux" is found within a torrent.

Note the highlights:

[Image: a8693503f63d0f1e6ba02c06948c35445bdd23a9.jpg]

[Image: 71d30a815a1de4acfb0d48042289d00523583ab3.jpg]

The search within torrents is very helpful in locating individual files (for example, an eBook within a large collection).

Another handy feature is the recommended torrents that appear when you click on a torrent. This will also help you find other torrents.

About BTDigg:

BTDigg's database is formed by DHT users. BTDigg participates in the DHT network and follows the DHT protocol specification.

The project name is an acronym of BitTorrent Digger (digger means a treasure hunter).

BTDigg is not a tracker and doesn't store any content and only collects
torrent metadata (such as file names and file sizes) and a magnet link (torrent identifier). This means BTDigg is entirely legal.

In addition to legality, BTDigg has two important properties: unicity and decentralization. Unicity means that BTDigg is the first system of its kind and there are no analogues yet. Decentralization of BTDigg provides the opportunity to search in the entire “torrent” space inside and outside of trackers (except private trackers).
