Impressive Achievement for Windows 10 Coming
#1
It is a happy day for Windows 10 users. Microsoft just announced soon you will be able to.....

Change your file manager to a dark theme while maintaining a light theme for the rest!

https://news.softpedia.com/news/windows-...4316.shtml

Quote:Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) introduces a dark theme for File Explorer, but the current implementation only allows users to enable it once the dark mode is actually activated for the rest of the operating system.
In other words, File Explorer can be dark only if Windows 10 is configured to use a dark theme as well.
In the upcoming Windows 10 19H1 update, this behavior is likely to change, according to a tweet from Albacore. Microsoft will allow users to change the theme of File Explorer independently in Windows 10 19H1, which means you can just enable the dark mode for the file manager even if the operating system is configured with the light theme.
The idea behind this change is to give users more options when it comes to the way their operating system looks and to better adapt each app to their configuration.

An OS that you can adapt to your needs. Now where have I heard of something like that before?  Huh

Pretty sure they are taking a hint from Mojave Apple's latest release.

When will MicroShift let us use custom themes as originally designed for XP? = NEVER!
If you want a visual trip interface, better take pills, because no one is working on it, even consoles are "conservative".
And even Google is making Android customization harder, can't figure why. Oh well, it's like supply and demand make-up and mark-up.

I thought they pulled that update offline because people were claiming HD's were corrupted after the reboot

Windows 10, eh...

Pretty soon you will be able to change the color of the death screen to whatever you want... Green Screen of death or purple screen of death...Mauve screen of death

8.1 to me is a great OS, but they went full gimmick retard with 10...When I do get a new laptop/desktop, I'll either get another 8.1 to install over 10, or I'll go to the dark side and try Linux... I just hate change, though.

All this is just talking... I'll probably just assimilate to 10 like the rest of the sheep...

Win8 is reasonable considering Win7 (Vista R2). But considering the forced-down-our-throats Metro UI, it's a bitchy move.
Win10 is such a different concept; it was announced by Gates decades ago, before Win95, his intention was to make everything a service and charge accordingly.

But consider what XP could've been and you'll see the Universe!

As I see it, you are the dark side of web. Suppose you use a Developers' Edition of Redmond's Frankensteinian Oroborus.
