Honestly, the people I saw defending him are fewer and fewer, and on less topics than they did before. his smoke and mirrors aren't working so entirely anymore but the obnoxiously loud minority does still exist - so I think I'll stay off the irc for the near future.

Trump is a total disaster on so many levels. I didn't vote for him or Clinton, but in spite of all the tactical campaigning mistakes she made and blaming everyone but herself, Hillary doesn't look so bad now by comparison....

Jared Kushner and while still Governor of Indiana Mike Pence have used private government E-mail servers just as the Clintons did, and yet in their cases nobody cares. The Twitter-in-Chief himself has an unsecured and easily hackable phone.

Michael Flynn was a spy for Russia and Turkey. Paul Manefort's house was raided by the FBI for his financial records. One or both of them may go to prison. Their former associate Donald Trump and some of his administration ( A.G. Sessions and HHS Tom Price ) continue to do crazy things to deflect attention away from the Robert Mueller criminal investigations against them. We know Trump himself has done business with Russia for many years, and yet he denies the obvious. Whether the Republicans in the House can get their shit together and start impeachment or not is anybody's guess, but at some point in 2018 they'll have to, if they want to keep control of that chamber after the mid-terms. The same applies to their numerous attempts to repeal the ACA. They need to work with Democrats to fix it instead.

The guy doesn't even follow his own example so why should people come make their products in America. They're more likely to get booted if they repeal the ACA  -- taking health insurance away from tens of millions of Americans, and replace it with what I call "WealthCare".  So far they've failed 3 times, but they're not giving up. This is just a temporary reprieve until the GOP tries again early next year.  Getting people out to VOTE in the mid-terms is now appearing to be a lesser challenge.

The problem from healthcare stemmed from Obama's socialists thinking's. The US can't be like the UK and nordic countries. Once you give the people something, they do not want it taken away. Just like if they want something more problems are always to come, the US just has not found the fine balance with all the partisan issues.
