I made the choice to move on to windows 8.1, and I'm having issues with it, so I need some questions answered.
- Does Windows 8.1 throttle my internet connection speed, and if so, how do I fix it?
- Is it possible to use apps from the windows store using a pirated copy of Windows 8.1?
Thanks in Advance.

1. Windows 8 is not throttling your bandwidth. If you have a clean installation that may just be your internet connection which has slowed down temporarily, or the distant servers (or peers) not as efficient as before.
If you have a not-so-clean setup of windows, check the programs you installed, also the network tab of the task manager to see if there's some unusual activity.
Updating your network driver from the hardware manufacturer site is also a really good idea!
2. Yes, as pirated copies do appear as legit for microsoft.

The Apps require a Microsoft account to install them. I can create an account without any trouble?

Yup. I have Windows 8.1 that I downloaded from TPB and everything runs fine, including creating a Microsoft account.

So Microsoft is not as paranoid as people make them out to be.

One more thing, Steripper: how "easy" was it for you to "obtain" that copy of Windows 8.1? I am not a copyright troll, or a regular troll. I am considering an upgrade to Windows 8.1.
Thanks.

Thanks.
I won't be enthusiastic to do this if it was up to me. However, that's off-topic

Thanks. It was very easy, and so worth the money.
Thank you to everyone who helped me out.
