HDD Issue
#1
Hi,

I was given an ACER laptop by a friend to wipe and reinstall windows 7. I formatted the HDD, including wiping the OEM recovery partition. I'm now getting the error message

Quote:Setup was unable to create a new system partition....Blah Blah

I tried the diskpart.....fs=ntfs road but still nothing.

I phoned a friend and he suggested GParted but i've never used it and wouldn't know where to start with it.

Any suggestions/solutions to get past this annoying error?

Thanks in advance Confused

U should have used the OEM recovery tools from the recovery partition and reset the laptop instead all that manual formatting they basically reinstall windows by itself

dark, this doesn't help, despite the fact that you're right (sort of...) lol

nelly, installation is being made from USB or DVD? Also, how were the partitions deleted?
