You expect me to accept your facts and acknowledge them as facts, but the simple example I provided is a fact, yet you dismiss it entirely because you are tired of hearing it. How scientific.

If humans were to dissapear from the planet tomorrow, or even better, were to never have existed at all, the earth would still warm up and cool down in a semi-regular cycle.

I never once said that humans aren't contributing to co2 emissions, of course they are. But there is a multitude of things that effect the earth's climate, and to say that the amount of co2 we added is somehow breaking the warming/cooling cycle that has gone on ever since the earth existed for the most part, is pretty arrogant. We don't really know the effect it's having, and won't for many thousands of years, if we survive through the next ice age, that is.

Let's say that humans are contributing to global warming and causing the temperature to increase slightly faster than it has in the ancient past. What do you think is going to happen? That the earth will just burst into flames one day? No. It will become more tropical and the coastlines will change shape etc. etc. Until eventually, another cooling cycle starts and another ice age comes and then it starts sucking. If you want to worry about something, worry about global cooling, that is going to do a much better job of killing off the human race than some jungles and humidity and shrinking coastlines will.

Yea, but warm beer and melty ice cream won't be a problem anymore.

You know, if I had to dismantle each "skeptic" attack to the fact that "climate change is caused by human activities" I would not have a life anymore. Fortunately, the answers are there in the links I left you. So no need to do it personally and perfectly scientific.

See it this way, if dozen of persons every day come to you insisting that the Earth is flat. Would you REALLY explain to everyone how Eratosthenes thousands of years ago proved it differently? [Giving a fairly accurate circumference estimation] Perhaps you will explain with attention and care to everyone, perhaps you won't. Personally I would not, I would just point them to something to read about the topic...
Anyhow the Earth won't become flat to make them happy; the Eratosthenes method will not be less scientific. Perhaps they will say you "How scientific", but Earth will still be not flat as before.

You know, if I banned everyone debating their own self-proclaimed relative cleverness rather than the actual topic we might just have an interesting thread.

I'm going to give it a try.
