Downloading problems
#1
I use utorrent and for some reason all of a sudden it will not download my torrents. Everything goes along fine, then it stops in utorrent and sticks on connecting to peers. Is there something that has been changed or have I done something wrong?

Elaborate.

I'm sorry if the following suggestions are crappy, as I am a little tired.

1. Uninstall UTorrent and put it back, and reset the program.
2. Install another torrent client and see if itworks.
3. Make sure that your router, if it's related to the problem (i.e. if you have one connected), is forwarding your ports. Do the following:
i) Go to DOS (i.e. command prompt) and type ipconfig. This will reveal your LAN IP address.
ii) Open a browser, type the router's web address (usually by typing 192.168...), and go to the forwarding configuration. Make sure that there is an entry for the port that you are forwarding,
associating with the IP address whose information you found out in step i.
iii) I'm not familiar with uTorrent or whatever router you might be using, but it should be safe to say that routers are configured a similar way. Enter all data! You might have to put in the following:
a) IP Address ascertained in ipconfig check back from time to time.
b) The ports to be forwarded by the router; make sure that the port number in uTorrent is in agreement to the ports forwarded by the router.
c) Make sure that both the TCP and UDP protocols are involved.

That's all. Again, I don't think I know where the problem lies without more information. I apologise in advance if you are offended in any way.

Hope this helps.
