Daz 3D/Poser Uploads Thread

Anyone know what's up with DAZalot? Here's a couple of his last uploads on KAT.

He never really socialized, so never got to know him and haven't heard from him.   Can only hope he eventually notices one of our outposts.

Same here, although they show 6-8 seeds, there still seems to be a lot of users downloading. Or trying to...

Meanwhile, I was having trouble resurrecting those last few to Demonoid, although they worked fine here. Didn't have a problem before, so I made a new one and it uploaded okay to both, so I don't know...

yeah I don't know what happened with those downloads. I did it the same way as when I uploaded stuff to KAT. Yet when I try to redownload them from here like it says to I get errors on the metadata saying it can't find anything. So I have no idea what went wrong. I'm afraid to delete them because it says you can't reupload them if you do. So I have no idea how to fix it or what went wrong in the first place.

KAT retrieved a .torrent file from torcache.net, but TPB doesn't work the same way. It only uses magnet links, which needs you to have DHT enabled to get anything out.

Ok then perhaps I'm blind or stupid. I checked and it looks like I have DHT enabled in Vuze. Unless there is something else I need to be checking.

If you need to re-create a torrent.. add a textfile to the folder and recreate it. call it padding or something.

I can recreate it..that's not a problem. I just don't want the same thing to happen. So when you say about DHT enabled, it looks like it is on Vuze. So I'm not sure what I need to do differently in order to get the torrents where they can be downloaded. Maybe I need to load up utorrent and try that way.

Are your ports open? In Vuze, click Help -> NAT/Firewall test and check your TCP and UDP ports.

Edit: Seems to be working now.

First, recreating a torrent never fixes a problem with seeding. That is always a client or network configuration issue.

Second, DHT is not a requirement so long as at least one of the UDP trackers included in the magnet link is working. That said, you should still make sure DHT is working.

Lastly, Vuze DHT is not the same DHT that the rest of the world's torrent clients use. It is its own separate, incompatible DHT network for Vuze users only. If you use Vuze, jump on the plugins menu and install mlDHT.
