Converting and Burning DVD help please
#1
Hi,

I've downloaded the DVD Screener of Captain Philips for a friend. They've asked me to stick it on a DVD for them.
They have a 42" HDTV. I'm using ConvertX for both the conversion and burning. Given that it'll be viewed on a 42" TV. Can anyone give me some direction on how to keep the sharpness during the conversion/burning so it doesn't look "pixelated" when viewed if you know what i mean?

And also how do i add the subs into the process before conversion/burning?

Thanks in advance Big Grin

Have you checked to see whether the hardware/software they will be playing it back on supports the codec used in the torrent you downloaded? The most popular Captain Phillips torrent is Xvid, and I'd guess that most DVD players bought in the last 5 years could play that.

If it does then there is no need to convert--just burn the file as data--no need to sacrifice any quality.

Cheers NIK. I wasn't sure what the hell to do with it but that clears things up for me Smile

delete it and download a 720p/1080p BDRip. it'll make a MUCH better source for your DVD_VIDEO files.
