So, I had to ask it! Tom Hooper's "Cats" is looking like the greatest big budget cinematic turd with a corresponding biggest audience (dashed) expectation since (place your own title please; mine [as I liked "John Carter"] is unoriginal: "The Phantom Menace")!! So bad that I simply HAD to ask all of you: Do y'all think MKB & Co. will riff Tom Hooper's "Cats"?
I mean, per The Hollywood Reporter, the film is SO BAD that Universal Pictures is now notifying cinemas that a NEW VERSION is on its way which will include "some improved visual effects.” Nearly unprecedented, this move! So, Whatta think?! Oh, & Happy Holidays! ; )

Well, they've done two musicals so it wouldn't be too difficult depending on the song/dialogue ratio. The Apple has a lot of songs but still has many parts of dialogue and silence to work with, and High School Musical had less songs, so easier.
Try asking Conor on twitter. He replied about riffing Feeders 2. I think the main problem is gaining the rights to it.
Even though I'm not a fan of Star Wars, I'm actually looking forward to that one (don't know why). Now I wonder if they're gonna riff other Marvel movies...
Sorry to derail from the topic, but I asked Conor about the possibility of them riffing the remaining Star Trek movies and he said there was no will on their part, so that's crossed from my personal wishlist.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Just The Jokes as a stretch goal on next year's live Kickstarter.

I'm surprised they haven't done Valarian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The 5th Element Riff was what got me into Rifftrax in the first place.
They also need to do A Wrinkle in Time because that's the only way I'd sit through it.
I don't think a Riff of the new Cats would be as much fun as High School Musical. And they probably couldn't get the rights to Riff the old version of Cats.
Just my two cents. Happy late December holiday of your choice. #AllHolidaysMatter

A Wrinkle in Time is so boring that it may be pretty tough film to riff.

That would mean people would have to pay money to buy a copy of Cats, so I don't know about that.

Even for free I am scared. And I saw Glitter. Without the riff, even! (I know, I know. I'll never forgive myself. It really seemed like it would be bad enough to be good...)

In this house, we've started Glitter (with riff) multiple times and didn't last 15 minutes. The deep hurting that film brings blasts right through the riff.
