Since they did the first part?
I know the movie (part 1) was really popular, but I would have died of boredom without the riff while watching. Kinda wanna watch part 2 (and definitely not just because I think Zendaya and Timothee are hot, that's not the reason at all, not at alll) but I'd MUCH rather watch it riffed.
P.S. Rather than do an additional thread Imma just ask here if anyone knows if they intend to do more of the Sharknado movies?

I doubt we'll see Dune 2 unless it's a Kickstarter stretch goal in the future. The just-the-jokes riffs seem to be few and far between these days, which I get. They never did get around to the most recent Jurassic World movie, either.
I really doubt we'll see more Sharknado movies. I think those two live shows were both done in partnership with Syfy as promotion for the next movie in the series. Those movies also got way more self-aware after the first one (and especially after the second) and I think almost all of the riffers seem to agree that those sorts of movies are just not that good for riffing.

Ah, that sucks.
I get it, though. I think the riffs work better when they're riffing "bad" movies.
What are "just-the-jokes" riffs?

Don't browse the RT website much I see. "Just the jokes" tracks are riffs released by the guys as *only* the riff audio, meant to be played alongside a separately displayed/streamed movie video. It's essentially the iRiff treatment, you gotta either do the work in an audio/video editing program to sync the audio with your own video file, or do the old-fashioned routine of syncing up their jokes manually by playing their JTJ audio and a movie together on different devices. They actually came up with a good mechanism in their app that auto-syncs these riff audios with the movie you're trying to match it to. This was done a lot more back in the day and I assume it was how the guys were able to riff "big studio" movies like the LOTRs, Harry Potters, etc... because they can sell the jokes but not the jokes with video together like in the VOD riffs. It also costs less, since you only get the audio in those cases. I wish they did this more because I like when they rip the popular movies more than the turds, but I'm sure they do a lot better selling VODs so it's rarely done now. Last one was Top Gun: Maverick I believe (which I rated very high).

Ahh, thanks. I'm a poor so I can't afford to BUY any riffs, so I never really go on their website lol. I discovered rifftrax via YouTube by accident.
Was browsing YouTube one day to distract myself from the fact that I felt like I was gonna die since my (possible a literal sociopath) doctor* had decided it was a good idea to simultaneously cold turkey me from Zoloft, Morphine and Xanax, and I stumbled across their riff of "The Wonderful Land of Oz" and laughed my ass off despite how sick I was. Knew I'd found a good thing
Oh, cool about TG: Maverick! I might watch their riff of the OG Top Gun tonight then. I haven't seen either of the Top Gun movies before, so figure I probably need to see the first one to enjoy the sequel .
