How do I know if it's active for this site? Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.

Place a shortcut on your desktop, a link that shows what (My IP Address) is for your machine.  There are plenty of pages around that give you the IP address you are using, you can usually tell what network you are connected to and if necessary just hit the shortcut to remind you where you are.

Yeah, I have that, and it says I am connected to another country. So, that's all I need? I also saw the list of types on activity (streaming-YouTube/torrents/etc.).

Just make sure that you are aware where you are connected to and also please if you do manage to get drunk or something like that while on the computer, I'm not saying you might get drunk but some people do and just be aware of your IP address and what you're doing as your ISP can see normally and log everything you do so keep checking your IP Address Shortcut to make sure you know if your VPN is connected and that's all that you need to do.  As long as your VPN is a good one then you should be fine.  If you plan on doing things like internet banking or connecting to sites like Facebook then make sure it's turned off otherwise you might get blocked by those kind of places.  Be careful what you use your VPN for as it could cause problems.

Also:
Use a client like qbittorrent that can bind to your VPN TUN/TAP connection.

This way you *cannot* download without the VPN on.
