Do you write a diary / Journal?
#1
Hi, I like to start writing a diary.
Having checked what's available, this is what I've found:

Just Write - the most basic one
my Memoir - very clean interface
Penzu - online only
glimpses - neat and tasteful
Darium - odd, but not free
Calmly Writer - online only
One Note - seems perfect
Simple Note - clean and easy
Zoho notebook - user friendly
Epic Jounal - awesome

Do you write a diary and if yes, what app do you use?

By diary I mean - a person's private record of events, thoughts, feelings, etc, that are written down everyday, not a to-do-list.

Call me stupid or whatever, but why not just a word processor?

EDIT: Ah, crap, never mind; my mistake.

I'm currently using a 10 days trial of Darium (5 days left)
It`s not bad - just a few things are odd.
Can someone remove the time limit, please?

Diarium is only $6 bucks, but it's Microsoft... One Note too. I would get another company.
Glimpses is still a beta version 0.4, I'd veer away from it until the release, it's your privacy.
Epic Journal is on GitHub, sounds like the logical choice.

Just do not use Windows' own journal tool; it was related to spyware / vulnerabilities long ago; may have been fixed by now, but I'd never touch it.

I used Onenote in the past It does the trick, it works like a digital notebook where you can put in pics and draw things. But TBH I didn;t need something that elaborate... I was for the longest time using The calendar of MS Outlook as a daily journal...

I should check out Daruim... your screen pic is nice, clean and organized. One note you have to "create" your own organization, so to speak, and some days I just want to type...

You know the screenshot was taken from Epic Journal?

Darium is rather different. I like how you see images of each entry when looking on the calendar, depending if your entries have any attachments. I don't like that you can't embed images between text, they're just attached at the bottom of each entry. Navigating through the calendar is unusual too, not bad, just odd. My biggest issue is with the menu and its symbols. I don't feel comfortable with it. But you might use the 10 days trial and let me know what you think - I'd be very curious.

Actually I'm afraid of spyware on my journal, lotta junk in the closet. Won't risk an electronic journal on the PC I use for my download addiction.
