Elizabeth Warren doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell

Quote:Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Tuesday that she was sorry that she identified herself as a Native American for almost two decades, reflecting her ongoing struggle to quiet a controversy that continues to haunt her as she prepares to formally announce a presidential bid.

Her comments more fully explain the regret she expressed last week to the chief of the Cherokee Nation, the first time she’s said she was sorry for claiming American Indian heritage.

...

Warren filled out the card by hand in neat blue ink and signed it. Dated April 1986, it is the first document to surface showing Warren making the claim in her own handwriting. Her office didn’t dispute its authenticity.

For Warren, putting this chapter behind her is key to calming the nerves of Democrats who want a nominee who can move beyond any problems in their past and present a strong challenge to President Trump.

Assuming that's an authentic document, and not digitally altered to change her race from "Caucasian" to "American Indian" , it could be that Senator Warren's office isn't yet aware of this circulating.   The other possibility is that they do know about it, but don't feel it's a factor -- real or fake.

We know that Warren got a DNA test to prove that she does have a trace of Cherokee blood in her ancestry, as a rebuke to Donald Trump.  Why she would even bother to respond was a complete waste of time to begin with !   I don't believe that will bring down her campaign.   What will is that she's too far to the Left  for the mainstream corporate wing of the Democratic Party.  As long as Liz stick to the issues she will do well in the primaries next year with voters. Granted she was a law professor, as was former President Obama.....but this Senator's motherly / schoolteacher demeanor doesn't exactly work in her favor!
Another thing is that she shouldn't apologize.  Trump never does and that how he beat 16 other Republicans in the 2016 primaries. And should Warren continue on through the primaries, you know he's going to continue to call her "Pocahontas".

She hasn't disputed it's authenticity. And it's her handwriting. Not everything is a conspiracy.

I didn't say it was a conspiracy. It only takes one person to forge a person's writing style !

Yeah I just like to keep my interpretation of reality fact based, not blindly partisan. When we deny reality for partisan gain it's no more rational than when they do it.

I believe in the facts too.  Let Senator Warren address this.  If it's real then she can confirm it on video.  But even then, it's not going to be enough to stop her from pursuing the presidency.  The only thing I'm surprised by is that she made that decision in the first place.  For years she said she wasn't going to run for President, so at some point she changed her mind.

She was always running, mate. And the people in Mass who know her best like her least.

Not always....  Warren's supporters pestered her to run for a long time, until she finally decided to go for it a few month ago.

For years she genuinely pushed for positive social change in government, including her creating the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and as a U.S. Senator going against corruption by banksters -- most notably how Wells Fargo was ripping off their existing customers.
