Making the clothes flow with direction and gravity
#1
Hi guys! How do you make clothes flow with direction and gravity? Like the clothes flowing because of the wind? Or if the character is floating or flying how do you make the clothes seem to follow direction and gravity? Are there any tools or tutorials for that? Smile

You can try optec dynamic clothes plus plugin for daz3d or use programs like maya or 3dsmax.

There's a good group here at renderosity they might hold the answer or be able to help.

Poser is the way to go here. It has real tools for real artists. Ik and dynamics are just the start. And it's free too (wink, wink).

There are two tools available to use dynamic clothes in DAZ
Code:
https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/vwd-cloth-and-hair/114645/
https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/dyncreator-for-dazstudio/113516/?AID=5033
The second one needs the Dynamic Clothing Control from Daz.

Can you explain the first one further? Like are there any other software that you have to use to be able to use it? Or is it a stand alone program? And how do you use it? A video tutorial or a written tutorial would be nice Smile

There is a whole forum about this in renderosity "Virtual World Dynamics".
And here are some videos

If you want to use it in DazStudio you have to also get the bridge to DS.

I bought VWD when it first came out and found it to be amateur crap. It didn't work worth shit and the tutorials where more garbage. It only seems to work for a narrow band of conditions so I moved to Poser which has real dynamics that actually work. I screamed bloody murder in the Rendo forums about marketing such junk and demanded my money back. I also made such a stink over the lousy program that I was kicked out of the forums. I uploaded my version of VWD and the Daz plugin to a file sharing site with a note that' it's crap. It's damned expensive crap too, but at least I got my money back. These sort of shenanigans make me wonder how Rendo is still in business.

So you mean the two programs that were suggested to me by someone is not good? Is poser the only good way in making dynamic clothing? If so can you transfer clothes from dynamic clothes from poser to daz? Or kindly give other ways in making dynamic clothing in Daz? Smile
