Which release of Mr. Robot S02E06 should I get?
#1
Quite the quandary here; I usually stick to the [ettv] releases, but the one Id usually get has a comment saying 'get the IMPROPER one, trust me'. But Im not sure if this means to get a different ettv release (there are a couple others, but they're dated later than the PROPER??) or if I should switch to Prime for this one?? Or maybe something else?

Others are hinting at this being rather important, so can someone, without spoilers please, point me to a specific recommended release, either the infohash or magnet? 720p x264 would be preferred, but Ill take what I can get Smile

Post a link to the torrent with the questionable comment so we can see the context

I'm not sure if its something about the release or capture thats inferior, or what; the comment was very, very vague. Sorry, forgot to link it.. A post elsewhere mentioned this being 'important' as well, but it was equally vague on why. So there seems to be a reason.

The torrent in question is this one: http://uj3wazyk5u4hnvtk.onion/torrent/15...%5Bettv%5D

The comment: "For reasons that I will not explain, this is the only time that I can recall that you don't actually want the "proper" release. Get the improper one. Trust me."

So I want the 'improper one', but I have no idea what that guy meant by that :S

Edit--- Sorry, Im used to using the Tor site, heres a link to the .org too https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/1553755...%5Bettv%5D

Release Groups like to race to see who can release stuff first.

Obviously, the fastest is not necessarily the best.

But, since they're all trying to create pretty much the same thing, there is generally no significant difference. So faster is generally judged "better".

But sometimes, someone who comes in second will spot something that enables them to claim to be significantly better, so they will label their upload "PROPER" in the sense that it's superior even though it's late.

Sometimes, it really is significant, but most of the time it really isn't.

In this case, the reason for the "PROPER" is "FLEET included some USA ads at 10m30s (Bud Light ect..), they're themed to match Mr Robot but they aren't show content."

And I'm assuming the reason the guy is saying you want the "improper" i.e. the earlier upload is that the ads were themed, so they're presumably worth watching. Given the nature of the show it's also possible there were some easter eggs contained within the ads.
