Windows 10 native torrent client - upvote this suggestion (Windows Feedback)
#1
For those who are now running Windows 10 you can now sent suggestions to Microsoft and upvote the existing ones through the built in Windows Feedback app.

There are several suggestions regarding adding a built in Torrent client. You can find one and upvoting it by searching "Ad a native torrent client" under Apps and Games category. Make sure you have the keyboard language set to English US (you will see only a small part of the feedback otherwise) and you don't have any filters checked like "My feedback" or "My build"

Torrent ≠ piracy, also, Windows 10 uses a peer-to-peer protocol to "share" updates/apps among users, so... might not be a bad idea. But I seriously doubt they'll do that.

MS tried to get into the "antivirus" business with MSE, look where they got with it, even they advise users to use a 3rd party anti virus, that's how good MSE is. No seriously, it really sucks, at least form the tests I've made.

This makes me wonder if a bittorrent client made by them would be any better than most existing ones.

M$ looking for suggestions for a torrent client may not be a bad thing? Torrenting/file sharing/P2P is not going away so maybe the penny is starting to drop with them.

Of course, to start with they'll do everything in their power to control all aspects of it but hey, they've been very successful with all their endeavours thus far.

Better to be on the inside looking out than the outside looking in Wink

well there is a recent trend with Windows 10 of having more and more built-in tools and services for a common user tasks. Ofc this isn't going to grant us with the most proper tool, neither with the quality of 3rd party software but some of us don't want to refer always to them for most of the every day tasks. I really don't think its extremely ironic for Microsoft to provide native support for peer-to-peer file sharing.

Plus with the consistency approach Microsoft is starting to put in its OS it would be damn nice (if the UI design is not a dull thing for you) to have a modern interface for Utorrent or bittorrent client consistent with the rest of the OS. Here a nice concept: http://metrofoundry.deviantart.com/art/u...-551712211
