Thank you so much for the advise. I searched for "tracking protection" and am using it now. I am not seeing a single add at The Pirate Bay, it is wonderful!. (And porn adds were visible all the time regardless of what one was searching).
Hey, how do I buy banner advertising on TPB? What are the image specs, payment methods, etc? I couldn't find this information anywhere.
Please get rid of the Raunchy Ads on your site ;_;

all those extra ads on each page make for longer loading and ......
added cpu usage... and.... Angel ;_;
I've said this on some other thread, but I'll post it here also, for those who want to block ADs on TPB (besides Ad-Blocker-type plugins) there's this http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm It's really usefull and helpful.
I have recommended Piratebay for several people, including my relatives. Now there are ads with... photos that show cum dripping from a vagina...

How do these ads help the site make money, when people start using ad blockers or just switch to a cleaner site?

Adult ads are one thing, but do you really have to get this graphic?

Anyway, I will start installing ad blockers everywhere now...

So you should, the internet without adds is a much better place.

Well, I understand that websites need to earn money somehow and I generally don't mind ads, but the latest Piratebay ads are just going too far.

If money is really the issue, then couldn't you try offering a monthly subscription service for users who don't want to see ads? You could charge $1 per month for that and perhaps throw in some extra features for those users. Just because people can use an ad blocker, doesn't mean that there aren't countless users who would just pay the dollar instead of having to install something.
Those ads are best considered a public service--which you have benefited from--they encourage people to do what they damn well ought to be doing in the first place.

Anyone surfing the greyer regions of the Internet--which includes ALL torrent sites--should be using an blocker. If they don't, they're begging for drive-by downloads.

If you've encouraged your own relatives to use torrent sites without protection you should be taken outside and shot. Talk about a little knowledge being a dangerous thing.

Isn't that a bit extreme? Perhaps you should cut down on your caffeine consumption and relax?

I didn't encourage, I answered a question about which site I use and prefer over others. I told them to only download the most popular torrents and avoid any executable files and to never click on any ads, but just the magnet links/icons next to the torrent's title.

Many of my relatives use Linux or OS X, more secure browsers and/or additional software that protects them against various threats. Neither I, nor these relatives, have had any issues with viruses or other unwanted software for several years now.
satanbunny, install adblock then move on, there really is little point in your postings given you have been told how to remove adverts not just from TPB but from the entire internet.
