If a new one does come out, don't try to change it without evaluating what you need and what the new Windows can offer, or any other OS for that matter.

Try the new OS in VMWare, if you like it use it.

You end up using Windows 2000 doing that, Windows for the most part is backwards compatible so its always best to get the latest available as for one you stay current and avoid a steep learning curve when you find yourself in front of new technology.

I don't use WIndows 2000 on this computer that I am typing my message on; I use Windows 7. I use it on my other computer that I bought secondhand from a ghetto store. It's meant to be a test/backup/guest computer.
EDIT: I pressed the send button prematurely; I want to also say that, soon enough, I might just use an updated version of Ubuntu/Fedora/Linux Mint on newer computers that I plan to build and scrap away Windows if it insists on using more UEFI/Secure Boot to frustrate me. EDIT 2: Basically, what I'm saying is to judge a product and see if it really interests you. Tell yourself what you want, as that is your job. If you let others wipe your ass for you, you have no right to complain if they're using sandpaper and chaps it.
