why I can access only through http://uberproxy.net ?
#1
hey everyone

since 3 month ago I'm not able to open thepiratebay.se
directly, looks like my ISP
did something, so I start to use proxy,
and only couple days earlier I noticed that link
of the front page: http://uberproxy.net
and that link I am able to access
and looks like it was made specially for
those whose access was disabled by ISP,
but why its accessible ? doesn't ISP
know about that address either
or they are just too stupid ?

also what is that about https://thepiratebay.ac
and https://thepiratebay.pe, because I can't access them too,
it says "cyclic link" or something,
does that mean my ISP disabled access to all domains
if they contain just "thepiratebay" word ?
is my ISP really so stupid that he doesn't realise there
is also uberproxy.net ?

No, it is not the same problem. Kindly stick to your own thread.

OP used a lot of words to ask why his ISP is blocking thepiratebay.se but not uberproxy.net

The simple answer is because no one has told them to. They aren't going to go out of their way to block a site until they are forced to.

no, little different,
it was first time I encounter blockage of my internet,
so I tryed to ask, and there are 3 key questions, to rephrase them:

1) as I remember It stopped work about begining of january or something, so I can't access http://thepiratebay.se anymore
because it blocked by my ISP ? (I can't ask my ISP directly you know)

2) if its my ISP why he didn't it years ago ?
and if he did it with http://thepiratebay.se he will certainly block
http://uberproxy.net right, thats why I'm asking if http://uberproxy.net
is a new link or old, I myself noticed it few days ago

3) ISP did it with because it was asked by authorities over email ?
because at first I thought ISP did it on its own account thinking
may be I download too much per month (about 200GB),
so they thought its as a way to decrease their loads that way
because many customers will not be able to figure out how to find a way around
that blockage

thanks

errr i don't want to sound stupid nor anything, but what about the DNS you're using? Some ISPs are known to do that kind of block on the DNS-Level, which is easily solved...

I thought about DNS and tryed using IP, still no dice,
also I use 8.8.8.8, so, dude, you know

guys, don't want to create new topic, as its still related,
so I'll ask it in that thread, new situation is:

I can't access http://uberproxy.net anymore,

also someone suggested http://bt.mojoris.in
but today its front page says:

Quote:I've decided to remove the TPB proxy link. Why?
Because TPB is actively blocking some proxies by serving some mildly obfuscated javascript (redirect to the uberproxy/thevideobay crap)
and have done nothing to fix this in about a month since the first people started noticing/complaining.
They've blacklisted my site because I've blocked their shitty porn ads (pop-ups included).

I don't see the point of helping TPB by running a proxy if they backstab me (and lots of other people running TPB proxies) like this.
(Especially since it's such a sneaky a-hole-way of doing it, as the main page loads fine, tricking people into thinking that it works)

first of all:

Quote:TPB is actively blocking some proxies by serving some mildly obfuscated
javascript

why ?

second:

Quote:I don't see the point of helping TPB by running a proxy if they backstab me

why would TPB do backstab someone ?

You can't see any reason.

I can't see any reason. Or evidence for that matter.

My guess is that the anonymous guy ranting on the Internet is either confused, or lying.
