Why are lots of torrents .EXEs now?
#1
I've gone to the Dark Side, using only Macs. Used to love TPB, some great stuff here.
But lately each time I go to dl some goodies, I get one huge .exe file, which is utterly useless on a Mac. I suspect some sort of compression?

So I'm knackered now. Unless someone knows better....

TIA

You're using a proxy site, you need to use the real TPB which is located at the bottom of this page.  Either use the real https page or simply get TOR and use that instead as an alternative.  There's always posts every now and again which relate to this issue.  There will be more and more of them come again soon, the simple solution is don't use a proxy site, use the real site..

Also important-- NEVER EVER open an .exe file that shows up on a download.  Delete such files immediately!

Thanks both.
Rodney (great name and avatar, btw): problem solved. Appreciate your help.
Capt: I hear you. Never trust an .exe!
