webtorrent based tracker

Hi, I'd really love it if you guys added a tracker for webtorrent protocol. Some of torrent clients are getting on board with the idea like utorrent (they have utorrent web). Having a tracker for them would make using it semi possible because as of now you'd be really lucky if something happens at all if you add a torrent from top 100, while playing the front page torrent on webtorrent.io is no problem even if people by in large seed that by accident.

went to take a look at webtorrent dot io and my antivirus screamed!! False positive perhaps ? but eitherway i did not continue to look.. Just letting you know... make sure you provide safe links...

It's open source: https://github.com/webtorrent. I say its safe and other than viruses living in torrent download clients.

I'm not recommending a tracker, but the webtorrent.io owner has his own tracker but he doesn't want it used for piracy. His tracker server is open source and there're a couple of trackers out there.

You are conflating a client and a protocol. But regardless, if a client has decent support for UDP and DHT, then trackers are not needed.
