uTorrent sucking my upload

Hi there,

Can someone who knows uTorrent well please help me.

My ISP says that they think the reason my VoiP line isn't working is b/c they can see that I have HUGE uploads during certain times of the day.

Where & what do I lower it to so it's not so taxing on my system.

You have to cap your upload speed in uTorrent. 80% whatever your ISP provided upload provision is usually a good place to start.

Look for "Bandwidth" under preferences.

No % sign.

You have limited your upload speed to 80 KB/s. That's probably fine if your upload pipe is 1 Mbit/s. If it is more, then you can increase it.

Otherwise leave it for a while. If the problem is gone, you can try increasing it a little more.

Yeh math isn't my forte LOL, so I thought when you said 80%, that's where the percentage goes into.

My upload for now is anywhere between 15-20

Just when I wanted to test it LOL, my VoIP service is having issues. I'll let you know in a few days.

I find that a setting of 10kb works well. My DL runs at around 500kb & my line pings at around 4-5mb total

Go in UTORRENT>PREFERENCES>QUENING and LIMIT the seeding ration make it 0 Enjoy!
