uTorrent Makes Advertisement Unremovable in Latest Release

With any sort of popularity ads will always come, Tixati would have ads if it were as popular, this is just how free programs work! I'm sticking to 3.4.1 and everything will be fine!

Thats why I Like Tixati, Its not that popular, But its clean and does the job well.

Azureus used to be my favorite. then they updated and became Zune. A bloated annoying client that didn't seem true to Bit torrent anymore.

Keep it simple, Keep it real.

My thought also.
Stick to 2.2.1 for now since this is the most acceptable client on most private trackers so far.

There's absolutely no reason to constantly update utorrent client.

Go here and download whatever older version you want. The preferred version people are talking about is uTorrent 2.2.1 Build 25302 or the last one I'm using right now which is 3.3.2 build 30488.

Thanks for the link, but, the 3.3.2 version has the ads, right ?

If you want to try something as simple/lightweight as uTorrent, you should try qBittorrent (you wont regret it), Tixati is another one that may fulfill your needs, but IMO Tixati is a bit sluggish in terms of layout navigation (for me, it started to become annoying the delays) and it has way too much information (most of it you don't really need to see/consult and they will be there consuming resources, STILL, it is another awesome bittorrent client. Otherwise you can just downgrade uTorrent's version, like Journey said, there's no need to be constantly updating your bittorrent client (but this may depend on what kind of updates exist).

+1 (or 2.0.4 which I still use)
I am happily using 2.2.1.
I first downgraded because a private site (anonamouse) required it, and then when I saw the ads in v.3 I stuck to it.
Another user pointed to the fact that you don't see the file list of a magnet download right away. This does not bother me, because they do appear after a short while, and I can choose not to download them. But the worst for me in the case of magnets is the annoying impossibility to name your downloaded folder or file as you like. Yes, that's a problem, but I still prefer to face it rather than the ads or changing to an unknown program when this works so well for me.

Here you can find all old versions

One of my favorite trackers only allow uTorrent up to v3.3.1, so I will gladly stick to qBittorrent.
